Midget Earplugs or noise cancelling headphones?
I have spent the day thus far dealing with last minute issues and prep for 'Beamette’s birthday bash tomorrow. Hopefully all will be well.
Next some furniture moving. Rah!
Howdy Y’all! I did candle duty and then back to da cave. We have spent the day mostly lazin’ about and other stuff. Feel free to use your imagination. 
Oh and laundry got mostly done. Couple more loads for tomorrow. We have supped and now ‘tis chill time again. Rain looks like it’s movin’ in on us. Let it rain I say.
flytrap take you some spareguts spears (I bundle ‘em in fours), drizzle on some olive oil and season with a little black pepper. Wrap bacon slices around the bundles of spareguts and secure with a toothpick. Bake at 400 degrees Amurrkin for ten to twelve minutes, maybe a little longer dependin’ on your oven. I don’t suppose I have to say this, but put the bundles in a pan, don’t just lay ‘em in the oven. I will either spray the pan or use parchment paper. Not too time consumin’ to prep and 'tis good!

Home, tahred, stuffded, and glad it’s over. The scallops I had were amazing, but I don’t think they were worth all the driving. I doubt that I’ll do this ever again.
**Midget **- How about a hospital waiting room? Quiet, clean, comfy… At least, the one where **FCD **had his last surgery had a nice waiting area, and no one seemed to pay attention to anyone else. Just a thought.
Glad tomorrow’s Firday - these short weeks are rough!!!
Ok, my time sense is really screwed up. After I left work today I lay down for a nap. Turns out I don’t remember that, so when I woke up a short time ago I rolled over, looked at the clock, and thought it was tomorrow morning.
I took a nap, and felt a whole lot better.
Then I took a long hot bath, and felt even more better.
Now I just want to go back to sleep, but I can’t.
I made tacos for my son, who is finally putting my chest of drawers together. I’ve only had it since forever sitting in the box. I hope he finishes it tonight, if not, I’ll have to sleep on the couch since he has all the parts all over my bed.

I wear earplugs often, but can still hear the noise because it’s so loud. I do have noise-cancelling headphones, which I should try out. But even if I couldn’t hear anything, I could still feel my whole body vibrating, and feel the BANG-BANG-BANG of the hammers.
Dunno, I cough so much these days they’d probably think I was a patient. :rolleyes:
Though you’ve reminded me, I should talk to the pharmacist about my bronchitis.
Pretty much a nothing afternoon; raining almost all the time since noon and it’s still coming down. Did manage to sneak out in the raindrops and get the mail (nothing but flyers and requests for donations). Ate a ‘regular’ dinner and it seems to be settling well, so hopefully everything else settles back to normal, too.
Cupcakes, since I got in the habit of afternoon naps, I’ve done the same thing.
Juliet, yeah for the review and the raise. And these days, 2% ain’t bad.

I’m off for the next six days. When I got home this afternoon, I found that my desktop tower had no power. Everything else on the power strip (monitor, printer) did, so I checked to make sure that all plugs were secure. They were, so I sent feelers out to two smart ass kids to arrange tech support. So far neither have answered. I did manage to set the dope up, including installing tapatalk, so that fellow Mumpers wouldn’t think I fell off the edge of the earth. 
Today, I managed to sleep in till 4AM! WOOHOO!
It’s raining, but warm. I think there’s enough on my desk to keep my busy today. Just gotta make it till 3:30.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 73 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse for today, tonight, and tomorrow. No large plans for the day. We may or may not go to the [del]hog trough[/del] Golden Corral for N.O.L. I shall also order OYKW’s bday cake from the DQ. Other than that, well who knows.
Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, onward into the day!

Another big blurf day.
I ended up sleeping on the couch, even though my son got my chest of drawers done.
I was too tired to get up and fell asleep where I was.
It’s a rainy 43 degrees outside, may get up close to 60 today.
When is OYKW’s birthday? We need to [del]abuse[/del] sing to him!
Up and dressed and at work again. But today, I’m burning my last bit of PTO. I’m leaving at 1:30 today, and them I’m off until next year! Woo hoo! I got some super comfy sweatshirt leggings for Christmas that I’m pretty much going to live in for the next four days.
Gotta tie up a few loose ends first, though.
Blurfage Last day of irk this year. I am tidying up my office today including archiving some old files and starting new ones. We are very busy in the front office and the traffic coming down the Keys is nonstop bumper to bumper. This little town is a huge New Year eve draw. On CNN they cover the drag queen dropping in the big red slipper and there is a wench drop from the mast of a schooner, a key lime drop and a conch shell drop plus I am probably forgetting some.

Went up to bed Wed evening, turned on the light, there’s a big flash & then…darkness. The bulb blew out. I have more in the basement but didn’t feel like going down to get one as it’s easy enough to get undressed in the dark. However, it’s not as easy to get dressed in the dark the next moaning. :smack:
The last three days I’ve been out of the house no later than 45 mins before sunrise (& I don’t go to bed at Mooommm’s time). Last night I crumbled. Took two naps totaling about 6 hours before finally crawling up to bed about 3:30am. Today I can sleep in so, of course, I wake up an hour before sinrise. 
(I caught that typo, but like it better than ‘sunrise’.)
At irk today, then a tough wickend, then one more day, then I get to head down Souf for some fun & frolicking in the 'Lantic Ocean.
Our local “drop” is a bedazzled cherry… at least it’s not a block of cheese. I think I may need to watch CNN on New Years Eve. It’s probably better than 95% of what’s on ABC this year.
