Morning all. Slept all the way through the night on a full stomach, so it looks like the internal functions are settling back down to normal. Still need to finish the youth soccer planning for tomorrow, but I’ll leave that till noon to get parents’ information.
Rain is gone (until Sunday, sez the weather geeks). May make it to 70F on Moanday. I can handle winters like that…
Sari, you must have a very comfortable couch.
Butters, is that a ‘wench’ drop or a ‘wrench’ drop? Slightly confused here… But hope life returns to normal come the 2nd.
ummm, Spidey, exactly how far South to find Atlantic beaches for frolicking? I’ve heard Brazil is nice this time of year…
Red, enjoy the extended holiday.
OK, work on the Sudoku’s and get something to eat are the next projects on the agenda.
The renovators didn’t wake me up today, yay! I got a good amount of sleep. And I didn’t even take a lot of pills last night. Maybe there’s a lesson in there.
Got up later than I’d wanted, but it happens.
Yikes. I don’t have much food. Well, I have food, but it’s all got gluten in it. I should go grocery shopping.
My couch is very comfortable to sleep on.
In some ways, more comfortable than the bed.
I’m debating between taking a nap or getting up and doing the dishes.
I need to do some laundry. I have enough clean clothes but I have some things I want to give away that need washing. I found a mess of scarves from my old belly dancing days. I was going to donate them, but one of my friends loves scarves and asked me to give them to her. They are sparkly, but she’s okay with that.
I have a bunch of stuff to donate, which I should be doing. I need to call one place to find out where they are. AmVets are coming by next week, so I should get a bag ready for them, and call them so they know to stop at my house. I have lots of socks I want to donate, I have more than I will ever wear in my lifetime. I think men’s shelters like them, so I need to call one of those.
My son has finished seven things on his list, six more to go.
Cleaning the AC can wait until spring.
We’ll fix the kitchen backsplash together. It’s pulling away from the wall. My niece’s bf didn’t fix it because I didn’t have the right stuff here to do it, but he told me what to do and it sounds easy enough. Just scrape off the old caulk, glue it back to the wall, and re-caulk it.
I want him to take the dishwasher apart so I can clean out the blades. It doesn’t look hard but I don’t have a lot of strength in my hands, and he is much better at anything that requires taking things apart and putting them back together. It’s like he can just look at things and know how they work.
The kitchen beadboard needs washing, he can do that.
Then hang my new blinds in the bedroom and hook up an antenna, and he is done.
I guess I need to get a new dehumidifier.
I’m thinking of going to the armpit next week. That’ll give my son a chance to visit with his grandmother and I can swing by my friend’s house to give her the scarves. Another friend asked me to save her some of the clothes I was going to donate, I’m hoping she can come by the other friend’s and we can all visit. Depending, I may drive out to her house too.
I don’t know, she lives further out, but I should make the effort while I am down there.
I want to get rid of all this crap in my house, so I may as well make a day of it.
Speaking of donating, my brother’s SO suggested I donate the nail clippers to the VA or something. So I’ll be sending the bin to my mom and she can take it to AARP. They’ll know who can use all them clippers!
OK, lunch is about over. I’ve got a few more drawings to do - with luck, the afternoon will go faster than the morning did. I hope.
Well, replacing the radio in my place will have to happen today. It’s stuck on a fuzzy station and the tuner won’t work. It’s been 20 years since I bought it, so I think I got my money’s worth. However, the timing sucks.
It seems like everything falls apart at once.
Our big drop is the guitar downtown. I don’t venture down there on amateur night, so I have never seen it in person. I’m staying out of Nashville this whole weekend because of the Music City Bowl. Both teams (Auburn and Purdue ) are within an easy drive and the traffic will be nightmarish.
**Midget **- one of the places this AARP chapter supports is a food pantry/clothing distribution/etc place. Maybe they’ll send some clippers there, also. I just hope they go to someone who can use them. I’ll toss a couple of sets in a drawer, but there are limits.
Blurf Went to the Pubic store This town is insane traffic wise. Once I get home this evening I ain’t going anywhere for four days. Tis our 35th anniversary on the 31st. That is a longggggggg time.
I got a package from da jungle (immersion blender) that I didn’t order.
There is no gift card, so I don’t know if is a mistake or somebody sent it as a gift.
Howdy Y’all! Been rainy and ick all day here. Thus we have not ventured out. I completed some laundry, ordered OYKW’s bday cake, binged on Netflix and have achieved nappage. Sup will be whatever strikes one’s fancy.
CupCakes his bday is January 2nd which will be Tuesday. We will then be the same age. I am five months and four days older than him. Accordin’ to him that makes me a cradle robber.
Flytrap yes, I double checked the name and address to make sure.
Very confusing.
It could have been from one of my friends though.
I just feel stupid calling people up and asking them if they sent me something.
I has a  that there was no gift card in it. It was from me. Surprise!
Aren’t you happy with your new ::looks at post above:: immersion blender; ain’t I wonnerful!
nut, chocolate, booze and cake? Did you visit heaven? :
My friend Jen came by and took a look at the 'puter. It’s getting power to the mother board and fan, so it’s likely the switch. Right now it’s in a local shop with a good rating for an official diagnosis
A Tar-Jay run is in the works for tomorrow. Sloth shall ensue.
Sari the 2nd is indeed on Hump Day. OYKW’s BDay/NYD feast is on Tuesday cause we do it that way. I promised him N.O.L. at the place of his choice on his actual bday. He has chosen Cheddar’s. Thus mote it be
Still rainy and ick out. Just glad to be inside, warm, and dry. Actually 'tis warmish out so I’d be warm out there as well, just wet.
