Sarah blames Track's PTSD on Obama

Oh, come on. Don’t even try this.

I’m going all the way back to the OP for a moment:

Sort of. The VA does a lot of work with a lot of vets, and for its size and funding (and varied clientele) it does a surprisingly good job. It sucks at mental health treatment compared to dedicated private treatment. It does an exceptionally good job at mental health treatment compared to “let them rot on the street.” And compared to publicly funded options.

The VA should contribute, sure. His benefits, he earned them. But it should not reimburse the entirety of private treatment for those who can afford it IMO.
.

Don’t bother responding. He’s already called us all stupid and stormed off.

Trying to defend Palin’s statement is almost as dumb as her statement itself.

Well, she is one of the more important thought leaders for the modern Republican Party, they are obligated to defend her every utterance.

Don’t blame us when, after peeing on our leg and trying to tell us it’s raining, we call you on it.

You just called Sarah Palin a “thought leader.”

That’s how bad things are out there. Really, really bad.

No, I called Sarah Palin a though leader for the modern Republican Party. This is a party with Donald Trump as the front runner in their primary for their presidential candidate. This is a party that repeatedly has rejected established science; that wants the Latino vote while espousing openly racist views; and this is a party that calls for small government, but wants to tell people who they can marry, what god to pray to, and control women’s sexuality. Among the GOP, Sarah Palin is an intellectual.

I know, that’s what I meant. I was just making a joke abut the GOP and Palin. Not you.

The whole effort was really beneath him. I’m sure that’s why he tucked tail and ran.

So you’re saying that justified wars never cause PTSD? Could you explain the mechanism for how that works?
Nope. That’s why my second post changed “treat” to “combat”. I also should have said “one way to combat PTSD” instead of what I originally posted, but I’m pretty sure you probably could get the gist of what my point was. your welcome for the clarification.

Oh, I dunno. It’s possible Palin just went out there and made a series of individual sounds. If you want to structure them into words and sentences, I can’t stop you.

Whoops, spelled you’re wrong and forgot to capitalize.

Oh stewardess, I speak jive.

Let’s not argue about who killed who’s benefit increases. We are gathered here today to blame Obama and take back the country from the liberal bastions who keep compromising with us and making us look unreasonable.

I’d say this makes her an expert twice over. Only two more punches on the member card and she gets a free sonogram down at the clinic.

How is Sarah Palin still even relevant to anything except as the subject of a remarkably accurate comedic impersonation by Tina Fey using a transcript of Palin’s own interview? Even Fey has moved on to better things and hasn’t bothered reviving the character in, what, five years? When even a comedian won’t bother making making fun of you for an easy laugh, you’re pretty much a political and cultural zero.

Stranger

Yeah, I know. I just wanted to say a bunch of mean things about the GOP. It’s been that kind of day, sorry.

So was John Travolta, but then he got “Pulp Fiction” was boom, he was back.

Palin’s wise to hitch her wagon to Trump; she may be a liar and a dolt, but she has a head for self-promotion and knows a good dirigible fire when she sees one. If she had offered some rambling nonsense in endorsement of Marco Rubio it wouldn’t have been as big a deal.

But like it or not, this endorsement EXPLODED all over the news. Palin’s folksy babble is comforting and likable to millions of people.

No, I peed on your leg and then said, entirely factually and unrelatedly, “It’s raining.” At no time did I explicitly deny urinating nor offer the rain as an alternative to your wet pants. The statement stands on its own and the proximity to the alleged urine should not cause you to think that the statement was related to the incident.

…how’s my Bricker impression?

But also, as I said in the Pit thread, my fundie friends on Facebook are all saying she was being a complete idiot. Of course, that’s because they don’t support Trump at all–to the point of unfriending people who do support him. They don’t even do that with Obama.

pretty good impression
