Saturday morning omelet, what'll ya have?

Mine is ham, spinach, Amablu, and a touch of onion.

I’m cooking, so what’s your pleasure?

I would love some lox, cream cheese, diced onions, and diced tomatoes in my omelet, with a toasted bialy on the side, please.

Spinach, bacon, mushroom and just a little cheese.

Ooh. (I had to look up bialy. Sounds delicious.)

ham, onion, mushroom, lots of chedder-jack cheese.

Don’t leave me hanging. What kind of cheese? We’ve got lots of cheese! Feta? Cheddah? Something you’d like bettah?

Swiss would be nice with mushrooms.

See those nice big juicy shrimp over there? Cook those big boys up and add some chives, red pepper, and the sharpest cheddar you have there!

Feta, spinach, red onions, sun dried tomatoes, black olives, artichoke hearts

I like either the veggie omelettes (tomato, green pepper, diced onions) with fresh mozz or cheddar or Indian omelette with turmeric, cayenne, grated ginger, onions and coriander. I don’t think there’s anything else in it. It’s served with pieces of toast and you kind of make an omelette sammich…one of my classic Saturday breakfasts from growing up.

I can make Indian omelette at home and it turns out well but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to make an American-style veggie omelette without it coming off as smelly. Then I’ll go to the crappiest breakfast places and their eggs don’t have a “smell” about them. I know with my Indian omelette the turmeric and ginger probably get rid of the smell but I wonder what spice does that for american style omelettes?

I’ll have one of what he is having. Alternatively, a goat cheese/spinach/tomatoe would be fine. Is the coffee fresh?

Since its after lunch, I’ll try a more substantial omlette.

Seared Vidalia onions, roasted chicken strips, Teriyaki marianated mushrooms, diced dried tomatoes, orange bell pepper, chopped chives (for color) topped with lots and lots of Parmesan.

Then stuff that inside a folded three egg omlette.

Then add a big dollop of sour cream, and three HUGE black olives.

Put all that on a bed of fresh baby spinach leaves sprinkled with a little red wine vinagrette.

Gimme two big buttery buttermilk biscuits and a pitcher chilled red grape juice and I may not eat again until Sunday.

Swiss cheese and toasted sesame seeds please. With a sesame seed bagel and lots of strong coffee.

Rare sirloin steak (should cook up to medium rare in the omelette), red and green diced peppers, diced red onion, chunky hot salsa, topped off with a dollop of sour cream and drizzled with hot sauce.

Big glass of ice tea on the side.

Spinach, mushrooms, cheddar.

Thanks.

Pancakes and bacon.

I loathe eggs. I will be out here on the veranda so I don’t have to smell them cooking.

Ooh…an orange tree! Would you like some fresh-squeezed orange juice.

Sausage, goat cheese, and green peppers!

Il take feta, green onions, tomatoes and masala spice in mine! And Il take up Ivylass on her offer for some fresh orange juice. That carton stuff just doesn’t compare to fresh squeezed!

Lardons, champignons, croutons, fines herbes.

Mushrooms, tomato, and pepper cheese. And lots of pepper!
