Boo seconds this. Call me whatever you want as long as you don’t cut my pay. Give somebody else the bureaucratic headaches, also fine. Coast a year to retirement? Peachy keen by me.
Yesterday afternoon all three of us kept hearing a cat meow~kept opening doors trying to free whichever trapped cat it was~couldn’t locate said complaining cat for hours. Finally located the Siamese between the wooden front door and the full glass panel storm door (all 5 inches wide of it), where she had dashed when I came in from an emergency run to by Coke for da roomies. Stoopit cat! It wasn’t even the kind of Coke I drink but I’m nice [too], dammit!
Rainy and dreary here today but the mom of the 13 yo roomie and I really want to drag The Kid away from her phone screen for a few hours today so we will have to think of somewhere to go and something to do. My roommate and I are both fully vaccinated but da Kid is not so that leaves out lots of things. Fuss and bother.
I have always like Library Czar/Tsar even though I am female. Thanks for the morale boost everyone. I texted my soon to be boss’s boss at 6:30 this morning regarding a meeting she scheduled tomorrow morning, apologizing that I will be at the pulmonologist and we need to reshedjool. Fortunately the soon to be boss’s boss and I go way back and at one time were friends outside of work. So she was cool with an early text. Soon to be boss is a dodo so I think in the future I will bypass her and go straight to the top.
I worked in restaurants all through my school years and accidents do happen. I think you should have gotten a comp for this though.
We will generally give a place three strikes before we stop going there. There are a lot of good restaurants, and one should not put up with poor food or poor service.
Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, had McN.O,L., napped, lazed about, and now are in sloth mode. OK, I did haul the biiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow, plus I did ush duty/ush trainin’ (two newbies learnin’ the ropes) so I did do sump’n today. Oh, and tomorrow is men’s night over to the church house, thus steaks are marinatin’ and beer is chillin’.
wetone sorry for the demotion, but same pay with less hassle sounds like a good deal. Have a good coast to retirement! I highly recommend retirement, btw. Best career move I ever made!
All you with all the yahd irk, geez! I mow and edge and that is the extent of yahd irk at da cave.
Oh! Forgot to mention I got a call from the HVAC folks on Firday. They expect the special wires to be in by Tuesday and will install them soonest. Guess they decided they want to get paid after all.
IIRC, policy for Navy housing was that opposite-sexed kids could share a bedroom until the older one turned ten.
Eggs scrambled with sausage, cheese, and onions for supper. Seemed to be rather more sausage than egg, but no big deal. 63 and fair, with a low tonight of 49. Highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s the rest of the week, with a bit of rain Wednesday. Summer approacheth, alas…
Yum. Deadpig and Cole’s Law. I had Trader Joe’s Carolina Gold mustard-based BBQ sauce. Mrs. L.A. had a mixture of Kraft Original (what was left in the bottle) and Sweet Baby Ray’s Sweet 'n [sic] Spicy BBQ sauce.
Slothful day, except for the usual Sunday chores. More sloth for the rest of the evening predicted. Supper was pan grilled poke chops, zucchini - tomato casserole and fried cabbage. It hit the spot.
Evening all. Bath taken and puzzles solved this afternoon, then instead of my planned Cracker Barrel visit, I went to nearby Decatur, Ali-bama where they have just opened a WhataBurger restaurant. Haven’t had one since my last visit to Texas many many years ago, so decided it was worth a 30 minute drive. Turned out a lot of people wanted to try it, it took 30 minutes to get my order. The burger was good, the fries average, and the price very reasonable. Probably won’t make a special trip again, especially since they are supposed to be building one only a couple miles up the road from me.
