Jimmy Fallon continues to impress me. I didn’t like that he was taking over for Conan, and I liked it even less that he was taking over Tonight. But dammit, the kid’s got game. I seem to love him a little more every week.
Say what you want about Fallon’s interview style and laughing at himself, but he has a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm. And he and/or his staff must work very hard to do all they do.
Amen…IMO, especially Slater (Mario Lopez)! I’ve been watching Zack (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) on Franklin & Bash and Kelly (Tiffany Thiessen) on White Collar, but I hadn’t seen either Jessie (Elizabeth Berkley) or Slater in a while.
Where was Screech and Lisa, I asked as I was watching.
A quick look at Google answered that all too well. Screech has had quite the post-Saved By the Bell career. I could see why they balked at including him.
And doing a Google Images search on Lark Voorhies (SFW, but disturbing) shows that it would’ve taxed Fallon’s makeup staff to make her look like the show.
I bought Screechs’ book about his Saved by the Bell days. I didn’t get very far in because it was mostly him talking about boring behind the scenes stuff and trashing everyone else and how cool he was and everyone else was an idiot. It just got annoying.
I was scrubbing through the video, just wanting to get to the part where you saw what they look like today, and thinking, “Man, this clip from the old show just goes on and on and… oh!”
Screech (Dustin Diamond) now lives north of the Milwaukee area. A few years back I heard him and his girlfriend(wife?) had some kind of on-line halloween mask business. And then this past year he was arrested in some kind of bar fight.
I’m guessing Fallon didn’t even bother calling him.
