I give him a month before he seriously reconsiders his women-only policy.
Okay, is it just me or does that guy just not look right?
I think he may be more lowland gorilla than human.
So easy, even a caveman can do it!
After reading that article, I have to say that business and sex make strange, uh, bedfellows in Nevada.
Especially after he sees the kind of women who can’t get laid without paying money.
My wife and I were talking about this same thing. She said, “He better stock up on Viagra and have a good imagination because he’s gonna be servicing a lot of fat broads and old, rich widows.”
Hey, I’d hit that.
With a big stick, while shouting "for gods sake, stop looking at me! And put a shirt on!
You know, that’s one thing I’ve always wondered about–why are there no legal male prostitutes in Vegas (who do service gay men)? There are plenty of illegal male prostitutes out there in the wide world, I’m pretty sure. Is it homophobia about AIDS? Is a place of legal prostitution too dangerous or seemingly open for the closeted types that must make up a fair proportion of customers?
[Nitpick]
Actually, no prostitution is legal in Vegas.
[/Nitpick]
The article does say that until recently, there was a hurdle:
That changed in December, but still, it could just be lack of demand.
I picture him hawking customers on a Vegas street less than a month later with a sign reading “Will Work For Back Shaves”.
I thought there was no such thing as a “former Marine”—?
I know a couple of straight guys who are escorts for a gay male clientele. They got into it thinking they would get female clients, but first of all it just doesn’t happen very frequently, and secondly, the women who did contact them were horrifying. Of the three or so guys I know who do this, ALL of them prefer working with male clients. Being straight, once they’ve decided to work with male clientele, they’ve already crossed that line; they’re playing a role. At that point they don’t really distinguish between clients. But with women, they’re more likely to be grossed out when she’s gross. It’s easier for them to compartmentalize with male customers.
Jim Davis? Isn’t that the guy who draws Garfield?
scrubs resulting images out of mind with a wire brush
I’m just shocked to see that this is new. I figured this was already going on in Nevada.
I was surprised to see these quotes in the article:
Do female prostitutes in Nevada typically service male and female customers?
What does that mean, horrifying? As if the johns using female prostitutes are anything to write home about…
Gross? Have you seen some of the men who walk down any street USA lately? I highly doubt the female prostitutes are finding their male clientele sexy/attractive etc. :dubious:
He’s talking about the penis. It won’t work with gross females. Trust me on this one.
If you read for comprehension, you’ll see that I made the distinction that when the clientele is not one’s favored gender, you’ve already compartmentalized it as a non-sexual experience. It’s just a job, like scooping elephant poo or digging a ditch. It’s harder to do that when the client is your preferred gender.
IANAE, I’m reporting what the male escorts I know have told me. To a man, the straight ones are more comfortable working with men. It more clearly delineates the line between work and pleasure.
And the fact that almost any chick can get laid if she wants too–guys are a lot easier to pick up and take home than women are–it seems not entirely impossible to me that the women who have no alternative to hiring an escort are probably the, uh, more aesthetically challenged than men who can’t get laid.
Most men will fuck anything; most women not so much. That creates an imbalance in the marketplace, if you will. Do the math.
Anyway, that’s the theorizing me and my escort friends have come up with. So of course it may well be wrong.
In any case, while the dork in the linked article may not say in a public interview that he’ll take male clients, trust me. The dude takes male clients.
Women don’t tend to hire escorts at anywhere near the rate that men do.
