It’s well known that Scots couldn’t organise a Dopefest in a brewery, but it’s possible to reserve alcoves in Waxy O’Connor’s if there’s a good few people. If it’s only a three or four of us, how about the 13th Note?
I like the 13th Note. Yep, I’m in Ireland and might take the ferry for the crack. Whichever is cheapest I suppose. Not exactly minted at the minute.
I like Waxy’s, haven’t been to the 13th Note since my student days, but have heard good things about it 
I can probably persuade **RealOmegaMan **to come along too, although I think Cicero’s going to be a no-show 
Sadly, the budget doesn’t extend to Scotland this year.
However I did send 50 pounds to buy a round of drinks. Don’t pretend you didn’t receive it! I addressed it to Cinnamon Imp, Scotland.
The only trouble with the 13th Note is if someone really wants to eat animal products. 
Both there and Waxy’s would be fine with me. I’m hoping we get enough of a crowd to justify reserving a wee room at Waxy’s, though, as I’ve only been there once and it’s an interesting place.

I’d still be up for this. Train to Glasgow is no problem at all - do it all the time for live music.

OK, how about second weekend, Saturday 10th November. For Waxy’s, ideally we’d start in the afternoon because it can be ridiculously busy in the evenings and we’d struggle to get a table. It may be possible to reserve an area, but so far we only have a few confirmed attendees:

with An Gadai as a possible. I’d feel stupid reserving an area for five or six people.
