I think I may as well start the countdown a couple hours earlier than I said, since town is unanimous. I’ll check in again and vote at 4:00PM GMT (10:00AM EST). This will give us a bit of extra time to sort out the leader vote on Friday, while still giving Tiltawhirl 24 hours to check in, and the two days of night if she has anything crucial to share.
Now that is a much better investigation list, heck it even gives a way to lynch someone to verify your claim. I don’t believe it but if you come up town with toNight’s lynch then we still get a scum out of the deal and 1 for 1 town for scum is always a good deal.
When you flip scum though, I have to say you’ve left a nice bit of WIFOM about why you selected those two and listed their alignments as you did but that’s for another Day.
By the way did I miss Alka’s vote to start then countdown to Day’s end?

If/when Cat flips scum then I would still completely ignore all she has said since Alka’s reveal. Cat would have known her boat was sunk and everything she said would be intended to make our job harder.
I had a look at the other reveals, and the manner of death is not specified in most of them. I think we can dismiss the idea above, Daphne’s wounds were probably just flavour.

I also note that Cat hasn’t replied to my direct questions. Even a half-decent cop should have some reason for picking their investigations. And Cat didn’t provide any reasons.
(The last time I was in a pile-on, it was 2 v 1, the 1 was AFK, and we had a faulty assumption. Town lost.)

@Ben - Cat prodded along the idea of Drain Bead as a bomb yesterday. Assuming Cat is a scummy Cat, what motive can you see for doing this? In your view, does it make Drain Bead more or less likely to be scum.
Good points, Alka. I had lost track that Cat had started the run against Drain Bead. So that’s another good reason for me to step away from Cat.
And you’re also quite right, my history of bad play does not necessarily mean I’m Town this time.

his leader vote looked fine at the time; the first day bandwagons pretty much all looked like crap, even for Day 1; his choice of Chronos now looks pretty damn good. In particular, given the crappy appearance of the bandwagons at the time, there was every possibility he could have started a new wagon on Chronos; seems unlikely a scum would have taken that risk with one of their key roles.
The scuffle with Guiri looks perfectly understandable; Guiri is really hard to read IMO.

1306: I’ve never understood “lynch the town roleblocker” but it seems to be Mafia CW. Seems to me the potential late game advantages more than outweigh the early game hassles.

I’d thought without looking that AllWalker had endorsed a Chronos vote after Normal had voted (my unofficial cut-off for considering a Chronos vote a possible bussing); at #2 and a half, he looks better on that count.
Off-topic, but anyone who feels like WIFOMing themselves to death can try and figure out if Chronos deliberately embedded any misleading assumptions into his program.
Conclusion: I think he’s probably Town, and not because he defended me a couple times; he was relatively early on to the Day 3 Chronos wagon, and his Day 1 Chronos vote, though a singleton that he later changed, was cast at a time when it was plausible it would have picked up steam. I have a hard time seeing a Scum risk it when he could easily and safely have jumped on board the jpei wagon; at that point, jpei had posted almost nothing but self-defense posts.
Oh, that reminds me, I have a bone to pick with you about your Day 1 vote, which you resurrected for your Day 3 vote on Scuba.
You said that you voted ColdPhoenix for advocating that the other “A” doc counterclaim peeker; this is a total misrepresentation or misunderstanding of what he was saying. He was saying that more information from peeker would have made it easier for Town to sort out the claims IN THE EVENT of a counterclaim.

Even so. I really don’t know what to make of Drain Bead, other than at the moment it’d be safer for Drain Bead to be Night-killed than lynched, just in case Drain has a retaliatory power. But if she’s a Jester type, it doesn’t matter HOW she Dies.
But someone with no Death-activated ability asking to be lynched? That would be the second stupidest thing I recall seeing in SDMB Mafia.
The #1 stupidest thing was in The Split, IIRC, where someone false-claimed to be Scum.
I voted ColdPhoenix as an alternative to BillMC after OreDigger’s argument that ColdPhoenix was a better alternative for LtL:
I found this a much more convincing argument than the one against BillMC and piggybacked on the given arguments adding my thought on the doc role claim.
I read the two ColdPhoenix posts as saying: “Peeker, please state the official title of your role and then our other doctor(s), if any, can tell us if you’re making it up or not.” I did not see an “eventual” aspect to the suggestion.
Unable to choose between with the Chronos and Drain Bead wagons, I ratified my Day 1 vote on Scuba_Ben as he had been even more absent than ColdPhoenix had been. I PM’d the Mods to ensure that both ColdPhoenix and Scuba had received the same role PM and alignment and placed my vote there.
In hindsight, with Chronos’ flip, I didn’t use my vote very well.
