how is that? i think alive we have a niller a shopkeeper, moi and you.
since you are convinced i am scum seems like maybe a shopkeeper and our little benadryl victim would be the “plenty”. so two is plenty, macadamia?
how is that? i think alive we have a niller a shopkeeper, moi and you.
since you are convinced i am scum seems like maybe a shopkeeper and our little benadryl victim would be the “plenty”. so two is plenty, macadamia?
oh, that’s right. i forget, you have a magic bag so that makes you town. oh, and you also got something from gryf that is to confirm that you are - oh wait the fuck a minute it confirms not shit. oh and your benadryl got taken.
yep, for fracking sure - you are town undoubtedly.
but because you got something cronos is convinced that you would tell us that it came from town and not a bad sort or if it did you would let us know.
shame on both of you. that’s fucked up.
True. Scum might be stealing the shiney, but if it was that important to them, they might have killed someone else in order to give them more time to steal it from jpei. It’s still quite possible that berynium thieving is a pro-Town activity. I haven’t ruled out that Gryff’s giving me an item and my cash money disappearing are related, either.
I’m guessing there are more than the shopkeeper role, jpei’s very limited governor role, and my role. I could be wrong.
To be clear, I’m still suspicious of Boozahol, and I don’t think that the claimed item-transfer from Gryff offers any evidence at all where Boozahol is concerned-- At most, it says that Gryff thought Boozahol was probably Town, but I don’t give his opinion any more weight than anyone else’s. What it is evidence of, though, I think, is that Gryff is what he says he is. It’s still possible that Gryff and Boozahol are both Scum, of course, and orchestrated a weird pantomime for us to watch, but in that case it’d be very weird for Gryff to put that ugly tiara on himself.
Oh, and this is the first chance I’ve had since Scuba joined, so here’s my notes on significant events thus far, in the hopes that it’ll help him catch up:

::shocked applause::
Heck, I’m amazed that anyone can actually play this game without keeping notes like that. I’m continually going “Wait, who was that who said that back on page 3?”, and “That sounds different from what I remember… Was that the same person who said that?”, and the like.
hey chronos.
jaw drops.
that’s pretty industrious.
what boozy said.
so berynium is cash money?
where did that come from?
because that makes a whole world of difference regarding some stuff.
back in a sec. gottta re read something.
kind of metagamey. tom’s post to squiddy’s reveal happens three minutes after boozy says something. also, during this time he posted one other time.
ok, maybe now we get somewhere. as far as i can tell at this point boozy is the only person who has suggested a thief in the game. now i don’t know if boozy is town or scum. but why the question about harvesting berynium from a destroyed screamer?
so tom’s first post is kind of odd just because of the timing. seriously it takes me longer than three minutes just to type a response. but to come up with some explanations about why it might have happened seems, kind of like, pre planned.
and then the second one just fucking confuses the shit out of me. he intimates that both town and scum have berynium to steal but we only know of one person that has had some stolen. how in the world could he even have any idea of whether both town and scum have berynium with only one fracking person fessing to having had some stolen even if he knew their alignment. this really really makes me think he is a third party stealer. in addition the bastard posts the question about harvesting berynium from dead screamers. if this is an honest question and he is third party then he would have never posted this in the main thread. this would be a pm to the mod. but then i put the spin that i have never ever never ever been in a game where any type of harvesting (i.e. action) has happened on dead folks. so it could just be in your face blatant misdirection.
and now that boozy has said “cash money” it really really makes tom’s first post about a pfk bomber squinky as all hell.
ok, any help out there folks?
I think this has already been covered, but you have it right there. I gave it to Boozy because I thought he was town, not because I know he is town.
Regarding the shiny stuff conversation, my shopkeeper colour indicates that it is used as currency, in that I was unsuccessful in making my fortune hence having items left.
Did your fortune get any healthier after your interaction with Boozy?
It seemed strange that a shopkeeper would give stuff away with nothing in return - although your store liquidation would explain heavily discounted goods.
If I was going to vacate the planet, had left over stock and thought someone could use some of it, I would give it away. Or trade it for something intangible, like favours. Or sexual favours.
@peeker, I interpreted Tom’s remarks as wild speculation. It occured to me too that if there is a shiny thief, whether 3rd party or not, then both Townies and Scumbos could be holding the berynium. As for the timing, they were both logged on together. Reading a post and replying to it in 2 minutes is possible, if the post is short, which it was. Pushing the speed envelope, but possible. But I agree with one part, the tone is a little odd - whereas I am guessing there might be Scum holders of berynium, his wording suggests he is flat out assuming it.
The cash money thing confused me too, but Gryff seems tot hink it makes sense with his colour.
According to the fluff, it’s the valuable resource that our mining camp has been extracting. My role PM, telling me that I had some, said it was like gold, only different.
And yet JPei’s only said it was “no apparent use, but shiny”?
Chronos, as amazingly wonderful as that list of yours is, it only makes me even more curious why the best votes you could think to make for yourself yesterday were a pair of policy votes – why no analysis of all that data?
peeker, I do find the timing you point out suggestive – that is very fast if you’ve never had such an idea cross your mind previously.
No, all I got was boring successful pm when I gave the item to Boozy, nothing about berylyianthingy. (p.s. I wish the metal was one I could spell without looking it up)
I also speculated about what the shiny berynium might have meant back in post 840 (thanks, Chronos, for the quick-reference links); one of my speculations was a thief of some sort.
Also, some other people had talked about the backstory of the movie; apparently berynium is the hyper-valuable unobtanium that makes space travel work or whatever.
