Scrubs Season finale (series finale?) tonight!

JD weaves a bedtime fairy tale for his son featuring his co-workers.

This may be the last one, guys…8:30p Eastern!

I thought ABC picked up the series?

I LOVE Scrubs.

That said, it might be a good thing that it’s the last one. The show was supposed to be about a scared new doctor learning the ropes from a cynical veteran. The more competent JD gets the further they get from this formula.

So, assuming this IS the last episode…will we finally get to know the Janitor’s name? I keep hearing that the series finale it will be revealed, so here’s hoping.

(I’m guessing it’s something that is sentimental to the cast/crew, but yet we wouldn’t know. Maybe John, in memory of John Ritter? Perhaps Neil Flynn’s dad’s name? Maybe he will just use his real name?)

JD is getting more competent? I must have been watching the wrong show these last couple of seasons.

Got the synopsis wrong…It’s Dr. Cox who tells a fairytale bedtime story to his son, not JD.

Now, that ought be good!

It’s assumed, but has yet to be announced. Entertainment Weekly reported that they are filming new episodes beyond tonights, with them being labeled season 7/8 in the production code.

So even if they don’t air, they will be filmed.

Why’s Bob Kelso back?

Man, if this was the last episode they really went out on a stinker.

Wait, what did Cox say at the end?

She said: “Did the girl make it?”
Cox said: “Let’s just say, _____.”

I missed his line!

Happy:

He said that’s how he’s going to tell it. The way he said it, she died.

I don’t know, I liked it. I can understand people not liking the show ending on an experimental-type episode, though.

Thing is, it ended correctly with Cox’s last line. Went back to pretty much the first few episodes where there was pretty much never a happy ending.

Cox said: “Let’s just say, that’s the way I’m telling it.”
I took it to mean the girl died.

I may have missed it - did we get the Janitor’s name?

Not that I saw.

-Joe

That was terrible.

It was also clearly meant to be the season premier, not the finale.

So…whats the final answer on whether or not it’s going to make it back on another network?

-Joe

They probably needed the extra time to work on the special effects.

Kelso was there, so obviously this episode was filmed before the episode where he retires.

That being the case, the episode where he quits at the end would have been a MUCH better series finale. As it stands, I’m just confused why they chose to air an episode that was out of continuity, and that was so thoroughly crappy.

That was pretty much the worst episode I can ever remember seeing.

I’m not a Scrubs fanatic, but I’m going to run against the grain. I thought it was clever and hilarious. I just liked the imagining of everybody’s Monty Pythonesque personas. Elliot looks great in a wench outfit. I liked the weird Lost smoke monster and House parody (at least that’s the way I saw it).

I liked it a lot, although Dr Kelso’s return was a bit

Favorite line:

“My name is Percival Cox. You’re trying to kill my friend. Prepare to die.”

I did NOT need to see Carla’s breast plate.

If it were just the fairy tale, it would have been lame, but they interspersed it with the hospital story, so it worked for me.
