This episode was filmed in October, but due to the writer’s strike and the possibility that the season would end and the show would not be renewed, it was held so that at least they could go out with something big.
I did not like it. I also would have prefered the season to end with the Kelso episode. The one thing this episode accomplished was to make me hope for an ABC pick up. I was ready to retire the show, but I don’t want it to end like this.
I had a lot of fun with it. However, I do agree if that was the end of the series, it ended poorly.
If we’d had all 18 episodes they’d planned there would probably have been a better ending, as it was they’ve obviously just finished what they can and released that. I think it was fairly good as a normal episode, but as this could be the last one ever it was a bit disappointing.

What an awful episode. Just didn’t fit into the current continuity in any way.
J.D. having a fantasy flash is one thing (and recently he even commented about one being too long). But Cox, for most of an episode? Uggh.
And Elliot wasn’t a wench, she was a princess. Slight difference in social class there.
An episode best forgotten.
