SDMB All-Pro Fantasy Football 2017

Here you go. Kinda hard to see much until the teams start separating around Week 7 or so.

Now gimme the slope of each line!

Kidding…I’m surprised there aren’t more obvious changes in individual trends. I figured you’d see a team flatten out a bunch following a big injury or increase when a player breaks out. I certainly felt a lot better about my team in the first half of the year but my points each week wasn’t terribly different in the second half.

I’ll give it my best next week in the consolation, but this year is it for me for FF. I won’t be returning next year. Thanks for the years of getting my ass handily kicked - despite not being any good, for the most part I enjoyed it.

Chisquirrel and I were 50/50 heading into this game. I needed 23 points out of Kenyan Drake and Stephen Gostkowski to beat him. Gostkowski hasn’t done anything, but Drake is looking good so far.

And Drake comes through. Finally got tired of Lockett’s hit and miss, only to bench him and watch him hang 22 points on the board against Jacksonville. Minus a couple late fumbles, tis one is over.

Semi-finals:

  1. Magni’s Mauraders vs 6. Exploding Pancakes

  2. The Great Old Ones vs 4. Isotopes

Really having trouble deciding between Diggs and Dede Westbrook this week…

If my team was real I think it’d be feeling insulted now.

Woops, not sure where I got Magni’s from.

I have to choose between Philip Rivers and Russell Wilson today and it’s actually pretty tough. They’ve both been great lately. Wilson has been a touch better, but the rams are allowing the 7th least points to QBs whereas KC is allowing the 7th most, but almost everyone has Wilson rated better this week despite that.

And I’ve likely lost Fournette to injury.

Well I definitely made the wrong choice on that one.

Even dumber, a few weeks ago I picked up Aaron Rodgers in case he ended up coming back at the end of the season and then totally forgot about him. I was deciding between Rivers/Russell and didn’t even consider Rodgers who I’d have started.

Fournette is out. Not looking good for me today. Bad week of matchups and injuries.

Save me Josh Gordon.

Well I managed to survive Gurley’s 44 point explosion, guess he was still upset I said I wouldn’t draft him for free. Swapping out Diggs at the last moment almost proved costly, but thankfully the rest of my star players all came to play today.

Crumbly bumbly, the dream has died. Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

I don’t feel that bad about being totally blown away. It’s the narrow losses that I could’ve made a different decision and won that haunt me. I put up a good score but got beat by one of the highest scores of the year. Ah well. Well done.

Well, congrats to Petey (who I’m not sure is reading this since he hasn’t posted here all year). I pretty much knew I was doomed after a subpar performance in the Sunday games (I was down ~70 points) and the Steelers did me no favors by giving touchdowns to their fullback and a guy with 3 receptions on the year. 117 isn’t a bad score, it would’ve beaten Petey’s projected, but his guys played above expectations, especially Dion Lewis and Old Man Larry Fitzgerald.

Thanks, this is the second time I’ve won this league.
This shows how fantasy football is mostly luck.

Yep, congrats man. That was a pretty good playoff run.
