Oh man, roster depth, while a fortunate “problem”, can be a killer at this time of the year. My last week is a perfect example - I systematically incorrectly chose my starting QB, both of my flexes, and my TE. Ugh.
As for this week, I hate benching CJ0.5K again but at this point I have to go with matchups. Just can’t trust a guy who, two weeks ago against the worst running defense in the league, ran for 30 yards.
Well, the field is mostly set. The Great Old Ones will face off against Omni for one of the bye weeks. The final bye week is Court Jester’s with a win. Otherwise, I could grab it with a win (since I’d win the tiebreaker), or Chitwood could take it with a win and my loss (since he’d beat Jesters in a tiebreaker as well). Should be an interesting week - make sure you get your rosters set early - we have 3 games on Thursday!
Yeah, sorry about that. My team has been frustratingly inconsistent all year, exactly the kind of fantasy team that I hate running, and you caught me on a high-luck week.
186.6. Nice work! This’ll be your second time getting the highest score of the week. (Why yes, I did plug everyone’s results this season into a spreadsheet, why do you ask?)
And once again, I screw up on my decision on which Tate to start, leaving 29 points on the bench with Ben. Golden better step it up - I want that bye!
Well, that sucked. Kudos to Omni, who beat me handily. If I wanted that bye week, I probably should have beaten him in the regular season as well. I really thought I had the inside track on the championship this season - but you can’t make it through the playoffs with your lowest scoring performance of the season, especially going up against 150 points!
Well, it looks like with Peterson’s injury I’ll be going into my playoff matchup with Omni this weekend only playing 2 of the 9 guys I started in Week 1. So that’s either the hallmark of a shit draft strategy, genius waiver wire and bench manipulation, or pure dumb luck… I’m guessing luck.
In the only game that matters, it’s Court Jesters’ (me) with the Detroit defense and a ~2.5 point lead versus Chitwood with Akers (Detroit kicker). Obviously, I’m rooting for Detroit defensive TDs, interceptions, fumble recoveries and more, while Akers misses every FG/XP. That said, I’m amazed I’m still in it after Nick Foles and DeSean Jackson connected for 70 points between the two of them, while I had Andre Johnson and Jermaine Gresham giving me just a combined 5.60 points.
If you’d’ve told me before the games that I would win so long as my K/DST didn’t get outscored by more than 23 points, I think I would have liked my chances. Now…
All right boys… can’t wait for tonight’s game, I’ll be watching the live stats to see how it goes. Good luck. See you in the final, don’t pull an Omni and forget to set your QB position!!
Whoa. Detroit going for the two-point conversion with two minutes left instead of just kicking the PAT is the difference. Can’t fault you for going with the Philly D against the Vikings. Seemed like a smart play to me. Damn the vagaries of this game.
Looks like we’re matching up pretty well for the championship D_Odds. I’ve got some matchup decisions to make (they are reporting that Peterson will play this week) but am mostly set.
