Not only have they caused bad feelings, they have also always been locked down by the mods before they get very far, which is why I am somewhat surprised to see that both tomndebb and Giraffe have let it go on.
On another note, I agree with Excalibre. This is stupid, cutesy MPSIMS shit and it should be kept in that forum.

While it’s true that “list all your favorite posters” type threads have been typically closed in MPSIMS and IMHO, I’m not so worried about the bad feelings the “name the worst post/thread” questions might engender here in the Pit. People starting threads about what an asshole a specific poster is seems far more likely to cause bad feelings than this thread, and are of course allowed. Besides, if you get your feelings hurt because your post/thread did/didn’t get nominated for some made-up award by a bunch of assholes in the Pit, you’re a total loser and have bigger problems than this thread.
That said, the “name your favorite thread/mod/poster” aspect really doesn’t belong in the Pit. Had the thread been nothing but that, I’d have closed it. Who knows, I may still close it, if it gets out of hand. For now, since it doesn’t seem to be breaking any rules that I can see, I’ll let it go on for a bit and see what happens. (On preview, I see everyone’s hugging. Super.)
Hey** Giraffe**. How about clearing up the banning/suspension of** VCO3**. If he is suspended, why is BANNED under his name? Why was there no notice in ATMB?
I don’t know and I don’t know. Probably just an oversight in both cases. I’ll send a reminder to the mod loop.
I vote for Giraffe as the mod most likely to eventually close this thread.
