Bah. Second highest score of the week, and I’m losing. That’s an especially tough pill to swallow in a league this size. Last week I had the fifth highest score and lost. In fact, I’ll have the most points through three weeks but I’ll be 1-2.
I’m actually still interested in trading for a wideout even though Old Steve Smith has officially gone bananas on his retirement tour. Ronnie Hillman, Lance Dunbar and/or Khiry Robinson are available. If you have two playable tight ends and want to ship me one for ASJ that would help, too.
If it makes you feel better (and I know it won’t), third lowest score going into Monday, and hope is not totally lost. I only need Rodgers to outscore Charles by 23 points…
Of course, when Alex Smith needs to throw, he gives it to Charles for two scores. Should have kept my big mouth shut (like that would have made a difference).
Dangit. I thought I had tweaked my roster on Wednesday, since I knew I wasn’t gonna get to check on Thursday due to being stuck at work all day. And apparently, it didn’t take, so I played Shorts and sat Foster. D’oh.
I usually fix plausible/obvious problems like that. Mentioning it Sunday morning makes it a little tougher - we have no time to talk before the games about whether it’s okay to fix it. But if your opponent MTRG is okay with making the swap, I’ll do it.
Well, I unnecessarily blew a quarter of my FAAB on Weedon, but a win is a win. I’ll take it.
Speaking of which, has anyone else noticed the waiver wire to be even worse this year? Granted, it’s always thin in our league, but I’m not seeing the couple of players that have a huge breakout game after going undrafted this year. Hell, both of Charles’ backups are already taken.
The occasional TE is about the only thing useful on the waiver wire unless someone comes out of nowhere. It’s always tough in this league but we usually have a few “maybe” options that will have a few monster games even if they mostly put up sub-4.5 pt performances.
Usually I’m nervous about the QB situation in this league but I actually had options (ok only 2 but still) when Brady was on BYE.
Why don’t all the teams in a division have the same schedule? I thought we agreed they would years ago given division leaders get an automatic playoff birth?
We thought of it a long time ago, and it’s trivially easy to do. I don’t mind doing it in the future, but the it’s necessary if you want anything reseming fairness.
As the person that has manually done it the last several seasons, I will simply disagree with that statement. If you’d like the honor of knocking that task out, please don’t hesitate to volunteer next season.

Congratulations - you know how to use Google. The schedule is easy to create (especially since all you really have to do is look back at last year’s schedule). It’s just a pain in the ass plugging it in to Yahoo. And more accurately, it was a pain in the ass plugging anything into my own personal schedule this year. I apologize for not bending over backward to accommodate something you didn’t happen to notice until Week 6.
And no one will argue this point with you, since that’s the EXACT reasoning we made to switch to such a schedule. Please - just stop bitching about something that just happened to slip through the cracks like it was some intentional slight meant to screw you over for some reason.
