I’m on pace to put up my second lowest score of the season. Of course, I wait for the playoffs…
I ended up doing much better this season than I had any expectation of doing. Nice to go out on a high note. I will not be re-joining any of the FF leagues next year. Plenty of time to find a replacement.
I am amused by Overly Sentimental’s projected 92 points vs his current 8 points, based on his starting the entire New England Patriots except for Gronk(who he has, but is suspended)
So, the normal figure for luck is to calculate “expected wins.” Thankfully, Yahoo already does that every week by putting a “If so and so played everyone their record would be ‘x’” in the recap. So by figuring that out, we can get everyone’s “expected finish” and “luck factor”. The higher the number, the luckier you are.
First number is the expected finish, followed by actual finish, name, expecting W/L, and then Luck Factor:
(3) Fourth and Nineteen 173-74 -2
(5) The Dented Pixels 163-84 -3
(1) Court Jesters 155-92 2
(4) Team Anonymous 150-97 0
(2) Overly Sentimental 147-100 3
(6) Up By Three 143-104 0
(8) poopiusdickimus 134-113 -1
(14) Frosted_Lightning 129-118 -6
(15) Nine Inch Neils 121-126 -6
(10) Not Sure 121-126 0
(12) Bloom County Bills 121-126 -1
(11) Garcon’s Cedilla 120-127 1
(9) Exploding Pancakes 112-135 4
(17) Inglewood Chargers 107-140 -3
(16) The Str8Dope My Foot 106-141 -1
(19) Rough and Tumblrs 102-145 -3
(13) Red Hochuli Peppers 102-145 4
(20) Varlos’ Zzzzzzz 89-158 -2
(18) Mundi Madness 89-158 1
(7) No Use For A Name II 86-161 13
So yes, he was by far the luckiest. The other 7 playoff teams all performed about as expected.
Wow. The top four all lost in Week 1 of the playoffs.
Fourth and Nineteen got screwed. He had the second-highest score of the weekend, and just happened to face off against the only guy with a higher score.
It looks like one was. Jesters v Anonymous and 4th & Nineteen vs Overly Sentimental. I’m used to having all the teams that didn’t make the playoffs get into a consolation bracket, but I guess with this many teams it does it differently.
(In fact for my main league where I’m the commish, I’ve won the “missed the playoffs” consolation bracket 3 straight years and just made the semi’s for it this year. I have weird luck).
Ah, I see. In the other playoff formats, it mirrors the actual playoffs with an equal number of non-playoff finishers in a second playoff bracket for the consolation bowl, but in this case it takes the four losers of the quarterfinals to form a consolation bracket.
poopiusdickimus defeats Court Jesters
The Dented Pixels defeats Team Anonymous
Up By Three defeats Fourth and Nineteen
No Use For A Name II defeats Overly Sentimental
And it looks like Foles isn’t throwing many touchdowns, but none to Burton, so I think I take it down, unless it is stat corrected away (again). Beef and I are now in a race to see who’s the first person to get 3 championships in the league
