What it would mean is that the association between parent IQ and child IQ is stronger at older ages of the child.
Measurement of IQ also becomes more reliable after early childhood.
The study I’m familiar with making this conclusion would be Plomin et al., 1990, but it is far from well-established. One study does not establishment make, and IIRC that study was a behavioral genetics study (wherein one infers the effect of genetics).
Molecular studies of IQ have struggled - 282 individual genes have been associated with specific forms of mental retardation, but only six SNPs have been associated with normal intellectual functioning, and together they have been able to explain only 1% of the variance in cognitive ability. This information is available in the American Psychologist article (Nisbett et al., 2012) that was previously provided as part of one of these interminable threads.
This, to this point it does not look like genetic factors will be able to explain variability in general cognitive functioning very well. On the other hand, environmental factors explain a great deal of the variability.

I think his actual thesis is that executing criminals will somehow remove “crime” genes from the pool, thus reducing the overall crime rate. It is, of course, a nonsensical idea not backed by anything remotely scientific, but that’s SOP for NDD.

The fact that this word ‘racist’ has a negative connotation in our modern culture is indicative of the positive social changes that have occurred over the past 60+ years. It used to be an accepted norm. Now it is an outlier. I always look for the silver lining. Perhaps I am a dreamer.

Well, they used to hang people in England for theft and just look how well that worked - after a few generations, there was no theft at all. Well, except for those other thefts, but they don’t count.
My suggestion that everyone with a felony conviction be executed was not intended to be taken seriously. When I realized that it was I retracted it. I posted that suggestion in a thread advocating the execution of religious people I hope that suggestion was not made seriously too.

NDD, the problem with this is that the debate is over. In scientific circles, the idea of “races” being as simple as Black/White/Asian is dead and has been dead for decades. This isn’t PC – science tends to not give a shit about PC. This is simply the results of the research. So when someone comes and brings up the topic again, saying “You’re a racist” as a means to devalue their argument is like saying “You’re a creationist” as a means to devalue a creationist’s comments on the theory of evolution.
