I agree that much of the difference in IQ test performance is the result of differences in environment, more nurture than nature, which is why you see larger gaps in IQ between poor blacks and poor whites than you do between middle class blacks versus middle class whites but you DO still see a difference between middle class blacks and whites. Are we saying that this gap is also attributable to the things you point out?

Errm. IQ is supposed to measure g. If you assume that such a thing as g exists then it is supposed to provide cognitive advantages across the entire spectrum otherwise you are undercutting the notion of g and therefore undercutting the relevance of IQ tests generally.
You should try looking at satellite photos of the Korean peninsula. There is a pretty dramatic difference in height and IQ as well. Maybe the North Koreans have been breeding with the San.

We still see a gap between middle class black Americans and middle class white Americans. Data from other populations of African descent vary, but there’s no consistent gap. The test score gap is primarily an American phenomenon. In Britain, for example, the real laggards are poor white boys, who test behind everyone else, and appear to be falling further behind.
