NDD, Europeans tend to have neanderthal in their DNA, whereas Africans tend not to. Should you reverse-breed back to your neanderthal roots?
Why not? He clearly has a head start on the project.
Don’t call me a neanderthal, you racist pig!
We prefer, hairy-muddy-white-with-club-in-hand-linving-in-cave!!! You ignoramas!
Oh, god, I’m crying I’m laughing so hard.
Can you get a package discount if you also have them name a star after you?
Or, expanding a but further, an insane theory is consistent with a subset of facts accepted by the adherent, but inconsistent with other facts that are known to practically everyone except the adherent (who maintains a screen of willful blindness to exclude them, precisely because they destroy the theory).
Ditto. (Oh, NDD, I don’t mean laughing with you…)
Clearly we should institute a labelling program for people, one that will guarantee that the person we’re automatically assuming is a sub-human moron is actually “Grade A 100 percent Negro”. I’m thinking some sort of government-enforced genetic testing scheme followed by branding* in some visible spot. It’s all for the public good, I tell you.
*the red-hot metal kind, not the marketing kind.
Oh now it’s back to bashing the gingers, eh?
You know, I was thinking abut discontinuing checking into this thread, figuring the point of diminishing returns was vanishing in the rear view mirror, but this last page has been so worth it!
Take solace in your enormous genitalia… I hear NDD is hung like a gorilla.
Yeah, I wasn’t advocating for that. Just that “East Asian” may be a better term for referring to someone with epicanthic skin folds and swarthy complexion without ascertaining their country of origin. Of course, it could be utterly wrong and North and South Asian may be easier to ascertain. I could semi-reliably tell whether someone was Tamil or not, as they tended to have darker complexions - in fact, I knew an Australian guy whose parents were Tamil that described himself as black. One Pakistani friend was from the mountains and was as dark as another Sinhalese friend though.
Among white supremacists, there’s mounting enthusiasm for the idea that Neanderthal ancestry is what makes them superior.
I want to tell them that they should wait for more data before they jump on this particular bandwagon. Lots of potential minefields there.
Does a fervent, desperate desire to have science anoint you superior indicate deep set feelings of inferiority?
Nah, pretty much there on the surface…
Neanderthals had a few useful genes, but remains of their campsites indicate that they were much less intelligent than the Cro Magnons who displaced them. They had a less varied tool kit. They did not seem to practice trade, and seemed to lack the ability to plan a year into the future.
But they were able to read citations and understand what the papers mean; which is a big step above some people.
You still haven’t retracted your comment on the citation you asked for about Yoruba. It completely refutes your basic argument, and yet you somehow tried to spin it to mean that you were right. Even a Neanderthal could see that one coming. It’s pretty basic, right there in black and white (pardon the pun) that the foundation of your argument is not only wrong, but completely backwards.
How is my argument wrong? How is it backwards? Do Negroes have a higher average IQ than whites? Do they tend to get higher scores on mental aptitude tests?
The study shows that skin color doesn’t correlate directly to genetic makeup. As a result, there is no way to group people into meaningful races; large human populations aren’t distinct or coherent. There are no human races. Since that is the basis of your whole argument, you’re left with nothing but the conclusion that environmental factors are the cause of the differences, not genetics.
For the intellectually challenged:* it proves your hypothesis to be wrong.*
Which we’ve said since you first posted on the SDMB but you’ve failed to comprehend or acknowledge. I don’t expect things to change now, but there might be new people reading along for fun.
Duuuuude… we know there’s an “achievement gap”. For the millionth time, we’re not denying it. Why do you keep bringing it up as if we’ve denied it?
“Negroes” are not a valid genetic classification- “Negro” has no meaning genetically. Look at this (again)- there are lots of African populations that are closer, genetically, to European and Asian populations than to lots of other African populations. The Yoruba and the San are just one example- that phylogenetic tree shows lots and lots more.
So, NDD, since you are deliberately ignoring my posts, I assume you’ve chosen the final option.
NDD has admitted that his view are completely unscientific, not backed up by any sort of data at all, and are nothing more than his own prejudiced opinions
Thanks, NDD. That clears things up nicely.
