The DNA testing is patently false- DNA might be able to tell something about what population parts of your ancestry hail from, but populations are not race. Many “black” populations are genetically more similar to Eurasians than to other “black” populations, as is clear from that phylogenetic tree. So why are a Yoruba and a San person both “black”, if the Yoruba is more closely related to Eurasians than to San? How does this make sense at all?

Somehow, you hold this to be true, even though some “Negro” populations are closer to “Caucasian” and “Oriental” populations than to other “Negro” populations. And you’ve admitted this. How is it possible to hold two contradictory ideas in your head? How is population A in the same race as B, if A is more closely related to C (which is in a different race) then to B?

Before genes were discovered, and indeed before egg and sperm cells were discovered it was universally understood that closely related organisms resembled each other more than less closely related organisms.

In the book Origin of Species Darwin actually discusses taxonomy in detail, discussing arguments among various botanists about the relations between various plants. As it turns out, various beneficial traits had been evolved in isolation and there was a “false homology” effect, assuming that because two organisms shared a trait they were closely related. A great example of this would be the bat and the bird (Leviticus 11:13-19), or the flying squirrel.

Edit: Oh yeah, one of the common themes of racist screeds is to compare black people to the other great apes, but one trait is often overlooked, the thinness of white lips. There were also arguments about neoteny and ontogeny recapitulating phylogeny, but you’ll have to pursue Gould for more.

Whites also have more body hair. The loss of body hair was probably a response to the hot climate of Africa. The ancestors of Negroes probably continued to lose body hair after the ancestors of Caucasians left Africa. That theory of mine does not explain why Mongoloids also have less body hair.

Oh, by the way brazil84, if I were a racist apologist, I’d definitely take the route that “they deserved it because their military inferiority was evidence of their lack of intelligence, thus the devastation and poverty caused by their occupation was by proxy their own fault”. There are two issues with such a stance. The first is that it relies on the just world hypothesis, which can cause special pleading - if a rich white or Asian has many children, that’s evidence of their superior intelligence, while if a poor black has many, it’s evidence of the opposite. If a white man kills many black people, it’s superior military planning. If a black man kills many white people, it’s because of their predisposition to violence and criminality. The second problem (really a virtue) is that it is undisprovable. Military intelligence is defined as victory, it’s tautological. That said, Charles Murray holds undisprovability as a virtue, rather than not even wrong.

Then again, you could always pull a tu quoque and point out that the stereotype threat is undisprovable when used as evidence for environmental effects for achievement gaps beyond institutional discrimination and socioeconomic status.
