I noticed we had several discussions about online games going on tonight, here, here, and here. I was thinking that we should start a clan and try to play games together. All you’d need to do is put [SDMB] before your name to identify yourself and post here about what games you play and on what servers (in online RPGs you probably won’t want to put your clan tag in your name, of course, though many allow you to create in-game organizations).
I mostly play Return to Castle Wolfenstein online, though I will probably be getting Jedi Outcast soon and Soldier of Fortune 2 when it comes out. In RtCW the servers I usually play on are Timelord, Xian’s servers (mostly Ice and Beach), TQC Experts 1-life, Xinu, and Happy Penguin 1 and 2 (mostly 2). There are a few others I’m surely forgetting as well. If you play on those servers you may have encountered me, I go by Ametralladora lately, which will be changed to [SDMB]Ametralladora in the morning.
I only play one game online currently [and infrequently at that], but sure… [sdmb]Waverly can be found camping, spawn killing, and doing other dastardly things on the Unreal Tournament servers. Hey, what would you expect from me?
Okay, dammit. Just for you guys, I will commit to a name.
Somewhere in the Winter of our Missed Content, CnoteChris and I tore some people up on RTCW Beach. Lately, I’ve been playing the big, giant servers–the penguins, Charter Communications, etc. In case I’ve pissed any of you off recently, I’ve been:

I seem to have a knack for annoying people, so I change names a lot. I spend a lot of time killing snipers for fun. Except Cnote, of course. He’s cool.
However, my names are usually long and elaborate, and don’t have room for the six-character [SDMB] prefix. And nobody likes Sofa King anymore–that bastard’s a spawn killer. Ahem.
Can we have something shorter? A single symbol by which we might recognize one another? A single symbol which clearly states, “you, ingoramus, shall die now”?
In the meantime, why don’t you guys pick out one of the names above and I’ll stick to it for a while so’s you can see my mad skillz. I’ll be looking for you.

Hell yeah I’m up for a SD clan, or at least getting together on a server. Shoot, I’ll offer to set one up on my system if I only knew how to do it (I think I’ve got the processing power and the speed- cable modem, etc).
I know I’ve seen some others out there who regularly visit these boards, but every time I’ve tried saying hi or anything I either immediately get killed because I’m typing, or the person I’m trying to get the attention of, ignores me.
But for now, I’ve been going as, and will probably continue, to go as The Giggler. For some reason I just like that name. The Giggler. The Giggler with a venom ripping apart the place.
So, in terms of a clan or whatever, I’m game. In terms of a name for yourself, Sofa King, boy, I really don’t know. It took me a month and a half to come up with the giggler thing.
I’ve just discovered Counter-Strike, and have appeared on a few servers as [SDMB]av8rmike. Unfortunately, I’m so bad I’m giving the entire SDMB a bad name. Hopefully to everyone else it’s just as nonsensical as every other clan initial out there.
I play Diablo 2! I have rainbow 6 and thats pretty much it for my multiplayer games. I do have cool pool from Sierra. If anyone wants to play me IM me on AIM my s/n is MystikalHawk. If you do see my online playing a game it might be Jedi Knights I use the name Skorpi0n or DudeWheresMySpaceShip.
