Hurry up, I’m gettin’ stabby.
Okay, who’s the slowpoke? Is someone not getting orders in? Or is real life taking up too much of Nate’s time?
I have it on good authority that he was laughing so hard when he saw what happened to Austria, France and Germany in Game 2 that he fell down and hit his head. Had to be taken to the hospital, where he’s being treated for both a mild head injury and paroxysms of laughter.
He’s on his way to the bank to deposit my check. I sent him some cash to allow England to develop nuclear weapons in Spring 1902.
Results are posted, check the website.
BTW, Turkey is looking like a genius now in Game 2. Nice moves, Alan Smithee! Very well done!
Oh, that sneaky beaky.
Looks like the Black Sea Bump in S01 was just a ruse; we have the classic R/T Juggernaut together again in the East. Fortunately for Austria, he’s already got Greece and Serbia, and holds Galicia for now. Plus (a big plus, btw) Italy is headed west to join the fray in France. It’s quite a fray, and France should be quite a-frayed, with Germany already in Burgundy, England having taken Belgium and trying to carve himself a nice piece of Brest meat, and Italy in Piedmont and with F Tunis clearly having the Western Med in mind for a spring cruise. France will have to do some adroit diplomacy to avoid being the first Great Power voted off the island…erm, Continent. Meanwhile, England’s taken his time getting to Norway, and Germany’s bounced Russia to keep him out of Sweden, so we’ve got a couple of unclaimed countries in Scandinavia. An interesting start!

Italy in game 2 is a psycopath, there’s no other explaination.
Would Russia allow Austria into Galacia if the Juggernaut were forthcoming?
JC, not sure if you intended it that way as a joke, but both of your “discussion thread” links are recursive. Maybe I’m “whooshed”?
He just cut and pasted his email in the thread. That’s why it’s recursive…mainly, it’s not recursive from the email.
Thanks, Capn, I saw that once I saw his email.
Yep, Shibb, I was just C&P. I consider the emails to be the ‘official’ announcements as they go out to players instead of being passive.
Quite the game. Only my legendary impartiality allows me to refrain from commenting.
That, and starting my own firm takes a hell of a lot of time.
Thanks ShibbOleth and Malacandra I’ve got a basic grab of the rules and concepts from eavesdropping in and checking out the map as the action unfolds, but the verbiage is difficult to absorb without some help.
Going to keep watching and sizing up the compe… erm, learning, and hopefully will get in next go round
Under what circumstances would Russia intentionally let Austria into Galicia? That makes no sense given the position after Spring 01, no matter what the alliances. I’m assuming it had to be a mistake.
Like, um, wow.
Hmm. Now what?
Regarding game two: bravo to RTFirefly on an excellent start.
Oh, and…Denmark to Portugal?
