San Francisco Supervisor Aaron Peskin’s office confirmed to NBC Bay Area that Pearsall was shot but is in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries. Additionally, the office also confirmed that the suspect was also shot with their own gun.

I was musing about what happens when the NFL inevitably goes to an 18-game schedule. We could elegantly add two games to our schedule as strength of schedule games. The three teams who win the divisions all play each other, the three teams who come in second in the divisions all play each other, etc…
We already do play everybody, but the strength of schedule games could be a second matchup between those respective teams.
That would make for a 16 week regular season followed by two playoff weeks, for 18 weeks total.
