SDMB Fantasy Football DYNASTY League: Year Eight

A couple corrections: Will Fuller is on Houston, not New Orleans, and I don’t have the 8th pick anymore, Retro does.

Speaking of, I’m feeling better about my trade up to 2.1 and back from 2.8. There ain’t no one who’s gonna be available at 2.8 that like much more than whoever will be there at 3.1.

Miller is below replacement level right now, and moving the wrong way. No, I don’t have a lot of great options here, but they’re all better than paying for Miller.

I do have the luxury of waiting on someone, since I have younger talent in my top starting spots. I think the prudent move here is to stash someone who could be an elite producer a couple years down the road, instead of chasing marginal talents at premium positions. So, I’ll reach a tiny bit and take Hunter Henry, TE, SD.

I’m out the door. Can someone update the board and pm Omni, please?

I PM’d Omni.

You can post a corrected/updated list, Varlos. We might also want to split up the trade log into a separate post since it’s getting pretty long and the order will get reposted a lot.

FYI, I’m going to make my pick after the All-Pro draft tonight. Stay tuned.

It’s been about 8 hours. I propose we accept the fact that Omni has probably been the victim of foul play, and move forward accordingly.

Nah, that draft is just ridiculously long. We’re done now.

3 hours is pretty standard for a 12 man auction. We kept the pace up pretty well.

He will be missed.

Updated the table per Varlos’ notes. Let me know if I made any mistakes.

Getting into a rough spot for this draft. Had someone else in there until the last minute, let’s see if I made a huge mistake or if he’ll last until next round. Long shot I suppose.

I had Hunter Henry written into my reply, ready to hit submit, and I very nearly erased it and changed picks. So I feel you here. I had to take another half hour to talk myself back into taking an elite talent at a lesser position.

I can’t shake how much it seems like the type of pick I would regret in a couple years.

I just don’t like this draft at all. Zeke, Coleman, and Henry are the only guys I like. I basically just tried to punt this draft hoping for a stronger draft next year. I’ll have 3 2nd rounders and a potentially higher than usual 1st round pick.

Doctson and probably Boyd are fine too. The RBs after the first two are nothing special. As a team that really needs young RBs none of them aside from maybe DeAndre Washington seems like he’s going to be the guy for their team going forward. Just blah about the whole thing, not a single prospect I had a chance at that I really liked.

We’re going to have to start making some progress, guys. This feels much slower than previous drafts. Have ideas for your picks ready, and send Varlos a PM with your ordered list to draft if you aren’t going to be around for a long time when it’s your turn.

I am open to trading Washington. I think he’ll be very good, but in a Gio Bernard way rather than a replacing-Murray way, so he’s probably more useful to you than to me.

Ok, I love seeing all the trades we’ve had, but we’ve fallen well behind schedule; once Retro makes his pick (I sent him a PM just now), we’ll basically have 6 days to make 36 selections. By all means please continue to send trade offers, but don’t wait half a day to see what you can get, and be ready to just make your pick if you’re not that interested in trading the pick. It’s time to pick up the pace.

Yeah, the first pick was made six hours shy of five full days ago, and we’ve made a grand total of 19 picks. At this rate we’ll finish the draft around 15 minutes before 1:00 kickoff on the 11th.

Also, we’re 20 minutes shy of Retro’s 12 hour clock expiring. Can dale pick right away or does he have to wait 2 hours? (Meaning it’s a 14 hour clock instead of 12.)

Nah, dale can pick right away, but we’ll keep the 2 hour gap for now.

Sorry got drunk last night and went to bed after the draft. Never saw a PM telling me I was up.

Pick upcoming.

Keith Marshall, RB, Was

Trey Burton, TE, Eagles
