Just don’t take my guy.
Give me his name and I can take him out of spite.
Sorry for the delay - I didn’t expect my pick to arrive this quickly or with all of my top 4 guys gone so I called everyone in to the emergency draft war room.
Okay, I’m seeing if I can set a record for trade downs.
I get 3.11 and 4.4
Varlos gets 3.6 and 5.4
Varlos is on the clock.
And with the 3.6 pick, I’ll take WR Leonte Carroo, Miami.
Omni is on the clock.
I almost felt compelled to take Carroo myself since he’s rated as a top 12-16 guy in most rookie lists and he’s available to me at the #30 pick, but I just feel like I can’t take more WRs even if they’re good value. I think at least one of my targets will be there in 5 picks still (although clearly I can be wrong about that), so moving up a whole round later is probably worthwhile. I may regret not drafting Carroo but it seems unlikely I’d ever manage to start him even if he’s pretty good.
My first pick in the draft has changed from 1.09 to 2.03 to 2.04 to 3.6 to 3.11.
Braxton Miller, WR HOU
Boom or bust. Lets see what happens. Slim pickings from here on, but the guy I was considering in the second round made it back around which is great.
I think I’m one of the few people I’m worse shape at WR than RB.
PMing Stringer now.
Was going to update this with all the trades…but then I got confused. I’ll let the Commish be on the hook for that. Here’s the list with the picks filled in and trades noted, the future picks need revising.

Sending a PM to Justin.
Minor correction to Omni’s list. I think Varlos uses the notation of [traded to…] meaning that the player got traded after they were drafted. If the picks were traded before anyone picked someone at that pick, it reads [via original pickholder]. So only Jordan Howard should have an actual [traded], the others are just [via] picks.
3.09 - Austin Hooper, TE, ATL
Not my favorite pick ever, but I’m light on TEs and he’s got potential.
And another minor correction to Omni’s recap… Leonte Caroo at 3.06 belongs to Varlos, not Beef.
EDIT: PM sent to Jules.
I no longer have the pick. Varlos should be up. I’m at work, can anyone pm him?
We badly need a corrected draft order reflecting taxes. Otherwise the wrong people will get PMs and the draft will shall
I think Varlos gave you an implicit “dale’s last pick” back from your 1.11 and 2.11 to 1.04 trade. Dale’s last pick would’ve been 3.10. Otherwise I’m not sure where it came from. I would be up if you don’t have that pick, since I traded for 3.11.
I’ll PM Varlos to see if we can get a definitive clarification.
Yeah, he doesn’t have you with the pick in the yahoo results page, and he seems to list himself with a double pick around there. I think we need to pause, confirm the last valid list, and post an updated one. I can’t do it right now, so I’m hoping Varlos will come back.
Wait, nm, dale wasn’t at 3.10, Hamlet was originally. I can take a crack at piecing it together later if Varlos doesn’t beat me to it.
Well, we technically completed 11 picks today, so even if that’s all she wrote for today that’s at least pretty good progress.
How about we schedule a live draft for Tuesday evening? Maybe 10pm ET? The idea being we all log on at the same time and finish whatever’s left of the draft in an hour or two. Then VarlosZ imports to yahoo and we have Wednesday and Thursday (until kickoff) for waivers.
**SenorBeef **is up right now with the 3.11 pick; I traded it to him a few hours ago, remember? The “3.10” is is being used on one of Hamlet’s keepers.
I think maybe some of the confusion is coming from the two different pick ordering schemes. On Yahoo the picks used on keepers take up a slot, technically, and make the pick counter go up by one. In the lists being posted in thread, a round with two keepers is listed as having 10 picks instead of 12, so what’s 4.12 on Yahoo is listed as 4.10 in-thread. I think using the Yahoo numbers when referring to trades is a lot clearer, both because we have the Draft Results page as a reliable reference and because we’re all pretty familiar with who started out in what draft slots, generally.
Reflecting taxes. Shall. Autocarrot is a disaster.
Okay, sorry, I got confused by some of the trades. And because this round our in-thread list for picks started diverging from the yahoo list, it threw me off. Which is to say that the current 3.10 pick as per the in-thread tracker is the 3.11 pick on Yahoo, because Hamlet kept a player in the third round and we skipped over him in the draft. When trading picks in the future, to prevent confusion, you’re going to have to use their yahoo numbering, not the in-thread tracker.
Let’s let Varlos reformulate the updated draft tracker list and trade sheet just to make sure we’re current and correct.
Pick 35, which is 3.11 on Yahoo (3.10 has Hamlet’s kept player) is Kenyan Drake, RB, Miami.
Varlos is up.
I’ll somewhat happily take:
3.12 Pharoh Cooper, WR, LA
May he and Goff become an unstoppable tandem.
Beef is up again.
