OK, I’m losing 95.67-6.60 But, I got to party last night in Wrigleyville. I can blame my poor performance on that!
Well I sure do hope Jay Ajayi is the young lottery ticket RB I needed.
Well geez, I’m wishing I’d put in Jamison Crowder. I thought he sucked; does he not? (Not that he had a monster game or anything, but I’ll take 10-15 points from a WR any day.)
He’s benefitting from Reed being out, taking a lot of those sorts of catches.
Highest projected score, (likely) lowest actual score. Shady McCoy had 3 TDs last week. My entire team, minus my QB who hasn’t played, has 2 in two weeks. This happens every year. I fucking hate fantasy football.
Something was up with my Yahoo app and never registered the moves I made. Specifically moving Dorsett out of my lineup.
I need Miller and the Denver D to score 30 points against Justin. It’s not crazy, but it’s not very likely - there aren’t that many scenarios where both of them do well since they’re working against each other. If Denver’s D is kicking the shit out of Houston, they’re not going to run (and they won’t be doing much of anything). It’s possible for Lamar Miller to be running well while not putting up too many points, and Denver D doing some sacks and turnovers… but… yeah I don’t think it’s likely. Probably within 10 points in the final score though.
The sucky part of being in the Sunbelt division is that even if you lose - and I hope you do - I will still just be tied for the division lead because Petey is winning. In fact, I will theoretically be in slightly worse shape because he will make up at least 25 points on me this week.
I am also concerned about the fact that Jay Ajayi seems to be a thing, given that my one annual advantage over you is better running backs. I really need Doug Martin to come back soon so I can take Matt Jones and his 100-yards-and-a-TD-or-absolutely-nothing scoring and stick it back on the bench.
Thanks, because I am having a poor-to-mediocre week unless DeAndre Hopkins remembers what it’s like to be DeAndre Hopkins (and Denver is probably not the place for him to do it). For what it’s worth, elsewhere I also started Buffalo’s defense and its -3.0 score over Seattle and its 20 points (in the All-Pro league, I think).
Arian Foster just retired, so I’m hoping I can ride this Ajayi train to the playoffs.
Just noticed, looking at the results page, that I had the third highest score in the league this week. I hate when it goes down that way. This game actually dropped me into 7th place.
This trade just went down.
Stringer sends:
TE Ladarius Green
Jules Andre sends:
RB Knile Davis
Real exciting one!
I had my fingers crossed Monday night that it would work out this way. I was worried when Miller was piling up yards in the first half, so I might have been saved when the Broncos forced him to sit.
I am feeling very good about my playoff chances right now.
Holy crap, my entire team is on a bye this week. Go to the week’s matchups, open mine, then show bench players. It’s friggin’ comical. So, uh, I guess enjoy the easy win, RNATB.
Giants (Eli, Jennings, Shepard, Cruz, DEF, K)
Steelers (Big Ben, DEF, K)
49ers (Carlos Hyde)
Dolphins (Jarvis Landry)
Rams (Tavon Austin)
Ravens (Kenneth Dixon)
I don’t care about the kickers; I will happily drop them and look for yahoo’s highest projection this week. And Big Ben is out anyway, but geez, I can’t even field a complete roster at the moment.
Losing Hyde, Landry and Austin to byes on the same week the Giants and Steelers are both off is the perfect storm.
Holy shit, that’s hilarious. I highly suggest everybody do what he says.
Be sure to screencap that.
Yeah, I noticed that last week while looking ahead. I’m a bit disappointed, because I wanted to beat you at your be… okay, it’s awesome.
I’ve become concerned that this is the year I’m going to miss the playoffs. I don’t even know what to do with myself since I’ve made it 6 years in a row, which would be a record that’d be hard to top. Jay Ajayi can’t save me this week, and Jules is as strong this week as he’s been. RNATB gets as close as you can get to a lucky freebie, and my other division competitor happens to face Stringer who also has 11 players on bye, including his two best in Antonio Brown and ODB.
Also I managed to secure a first round pick swap in the only year Justin has been ahead of me in a good while.
I always start strong (one of the advantages of having a veteran team), but then I struggle at the end (one of the disadvantages of having a veteran team).
In fairness, my projection this week is the third lowest for me this year. Partly because I’ll be without my stud RB. I don’t think I can lose again and make the playoffs, so it’s basically the playoffs for me starting this week. I have two TDs from all my starters combined in the last two weeks. It’s one thing to have a player in a drought. But an entire team, two weeks in a row? So, congratulations on your win.
What’s the deal with Allen Robinson this year? The talent is still there, right? So what’s going on? Is it something that can be fixed with a new offensive staff? Certainly he has to be one of the leading candidates for disappointment of the year.
Another pending trade:
Jules Andre sends:
RB Jacquizz Rodgers
WR Willie Snead
Really Not All That Bright sends:
RB DeAndre Washington
WR Breshad Perriman
I missed on Washington by a single pick during the draft, so I get my revenge. I’m moving some short term assets for some long term upside. I’m just pooling as many dice as possible to hope some of them come up with big numbers. I’m light on established studs, but I have a ton of guys who could be at that level. It’ll be an exciting next couple of seasons until, inevitably, every one of my players picks up a Cinnabon habit and I’m rebuilding from scratch before realizing my entire life has been a joke and I end up wandering into the woods in the dead of winter so that Mother Nature can take me. Or something, I guess.
