I think we’re on track for a soft start to the draft on Sunday, with the clock starting Sunday night/Monday morning.
I’ll be curious to see what Hamlet is able to get for Adrian Peterson. I think my valuation was pretty decent, but I could easily be way off.
Divisions are set, FAABs are set, schedule is set. Anything else I’m forgetting?
Can I stick Jordy Nelson on an IR slot now? I can’t remember if we decided on that last year.
I’ll be able to after the league starts, so it seems pretty reasonable to just let me do that now. Same for Kelvin Benjamin and any other player out of the year at this point.
Martavis Bryant was suspended for 4 games, adding more fun to my receiver roster. I’ve gotta carry Josh Gordon on my roster for the year for no return. Trent Richardson can’t keep a third string roster spot with the raiders. That has to be one of the biggest fantasy busts of all time. I can’t think of a greater one. Ryan Mathews landed a backup spot to one of the league’s better running backs. Even Rodgers has his value reduced by the lack of Nelson.
My once mighty team is coming down in flames.
On the plus side, Allen Robinson might be alright.
That’s the final word from last year. I have a stake in this now, but I think just treating them like normal picks is alrightish if we were to re-open the discussion. It hurts enough to lose a guy in the preseason, that would provide a little relief. But sticking them at the end isn’t a big deal in any case.

Anyone want to offer me a draft pick for QB Johnny Manziel? Fielding offers now, and also during the draft – if you find yourself on the clock and you think you’d rather have Manziel than whoever is still on the board, send me a PM and I may well make the swap.
As for pre-draft IR slots, how would it work if we treated it them as regular draft picks? It would complicate bookkeeping somewhat, though I don’t think prohibitively. I’d have to revisit the discussion we had last year (and would welcome everyone’s input).
Come on, guys! We’re better than this! Four of us neglected to enter keepers on Yahoo; two of those posted cuts to the thread so I was able to enter them myself, but that still leaves two outstanding. PMs are going out and I don’t anticipate a long delay. No big deal.
We’ll spend today (Saturday) getting everything ready for the draft. If you want to amend your keepers it shouldn’t be a problem; just don’t wait too long.
Drat. Yahoo is refusing to auto-assign our keepers for some reason – maybe I missed a step before. Anyway, I’ve got to manually enter each pick now, like in olden times. This is going to take a little while. Hopefully in a couple hours we’ll be all set.
Hey, quick question while I’m doing this about something really inconsequential: do we want our keepers to have that little “k” next to their names, or no? Is it helpful or just clutter? I can fix it either way.
