There’s no way he’s going to make up 90 points on you in a week. You’re guaranteed a playoff spot.
You would have made up 70 points on me this week if I had simply repeated my performance from last week. So there’s that.
Also I don’t want you to make the playoffs because you might win.
Incidentally, do you want to toss me Jay Ajayi for… something cheap?
I was thinking more like you could toss me Lamar Miller.
Varlos and Hamlet have both clinched playoff spots.
If furt wins, he’s in.
If RNATB wins, he’s in.
But if RNATB loses, he will likely win the Wild Card as he holds a 65-point advantage over Beef and a 90-point advantage over furt.
Beef is likely in if he wins and furt loses as he holds a 25-point advantage.
Beef is also in if he wins and RNATB loses. In this scenario, RNATB is also in.
If Justin Bailey wins, he’s in if furt and Beef both lose.
Thanks for breaking that down, Justin.
I’ll actually be annoyed if I don’t win the division, for some reason.
Naw, I need him in case Matt Jones and/or Abdullah don’t work out.
Argh. Ingram might be done for the year. So now I’m definitely not trading Miller.
ETA: Ben Watson is still available… cheap.
Justin_Bailey gets:
WR Larry Fitzgerald
VarlosZ’s last draft pick
**VarlosZ **gets:
2016 1st Round pick (RNATB’s pick, which Justin acquired in a previous trade)
Kind of a counter-intuitive move for me, since I’m definitely in “Win Now” mode, and Fitz is in my starting lineup – this is going to shave 4 or 5 points off my projection every week. Nonetheless, I like to have a young roster, I never would have been able to get as good a price after this season, I have good players on the bench, and I can make this trade for the future while still probably being the slight favorite in the playoffs this year. I’ll also go into next season with two #1s and a high #2 (dale’s), which is pretty good for a guy who already has a good, young roster.
I am sad to see 'ole Fitzy go. He’s been with me since our inaugural draft. Now, the only two such players still on my roster are Calvin Johnson and Greg Olsen.
Well I’m boned.
My team is older than dirt and making one last play for the playoffs seems to have blown up in my face. I have a feeling that next year is not going to be a productive one for the ol’ Gusterrhoids.
Yahoo is doing a promotion this week where every fantasy league gets to play a little daily fantasy sports / salary cap league against the other people in that league. You pick a roster of players worth $200 and then see how you do against the rest of the league. It’s mostly just for fun, although they’re giving out 2 bucks to both first and second place in these contests. They’re using it to try to promote their DFS service, but it seems like a fun little side-game to play against our fantasy leagues.
Anyway, at least 4 people in the league need to submit a roster for the contest to run. You have until the games start. So put together a little salary cap roster. It’ll take less than 5 minutes. It’s along the top of the screen - an “enter contest” button appears on the top right when you’re looking at a league page.
Woops, disregard that. I thought it said that it was free, but it’s actually a $1 contest. It’s still sort of a fun idea - playing DFS against your league - but I can’t participate since Nevada is one of the states that bans it. I thought I could because it would be free.
From what I can tell, it’s not free. It only costs $1, but I’m not breaking out my credit card for it.
EDIT: Doh! I could have saved myself 28+ minutes if I’d previewed the thread.
Yeah, sorry about that. I saw some promo a few days ago about a free something something, then saw the DFS today, and thought that’s what it meant.
Gronk may be playing tomorrow but he’s playing a late game and I won’t have confirmation early on. Hate that sort of thing.
Dear God I’m having last minute thoughts to switch Rodgers to Manziel.
Sproles or Mathews is a tough choice.
And Dalton is done for the day after half a quarter. That might be my season done too, even though I’ll probably still make the playoffs.
It’s looking good for me if I can just win my game…
… And now Spencer Ware is hurt. I might not make the playoffs at all.
furt scored like 70 points in the half hour between I last checked his scores. Shit.
Things aren’t looking great for RNATB, though, so if I can pull it together that’s probably my route in.
Furt only needs 12 more points to pass me. Urk.
