SDMB FF Dynasty League: Year Five

Ah the ol’ “Denard Robinson is a real athlete, and Matt Jones is a cerebral WR” argument.

This is like the 40th time you’ve accused me of being a racist and/or molesting your grandma, so I was starting to think there was some truth behind it.

Especially since the grandma thing was true.

You’ve been cheating on my grandma?! Wait till NaNa hears about this!

She knew what this was.

Does that mean I can’t call you Pop Pop anymore?

I will always be your father. Nothing can change that.

I like that Julius Thomas pick, almost grabbed him instead of Dobson. In the end I figured Peyton only has a couple years left and Thomas’ has a greater chance of disappearing when Peyton does…assuming he even wins the starting job when Dreesen/Tamme comes back. That said, he could actually be a useful starter this season…pretty good in the 3rd round.

DP

Ah, what the heck. Let’s have a nice Isaac redman.

Yeah, that was going to be my pick, I mean, it’s kind of obvious, on the other hand… I don’t think anyone is going to be well served by any part of that running game all year.

Oh well, back to the drawing board for my last pick.

With a side of fava beans?

I won’t be around today, so after RetroVertigo makes his pick here’s mine so we can keep it going:

Mike Glennon (QB, TB)

If he’s chosen, I’d like to take:

Matt Barkley (QB, PHI)

I trust no one will peek.

I have no illusions but I’m so short on running backs that any it getting ten catties can help me. Especially until Bernard becomes a full time starter.

4.3) Latavius Murray

He is on the IR so this is a pick for 2014, but this guy is a stud.

PM sent.

Justin picks Mike Glennon. PM omni please.

I went out this year needing RBs (like a few teams), and with the #4 overall pick I was pretty sure I could snag one of the top runners in this years (very shallow draft), and once Ellis took a WR #1 it became who would drop to be between Ball and Lacy.

1.4) Eddie Lacy
I am happy with this pick he will be a starter on a high powered passing attack. He should be able to get 5 ypc without breaking a sweat. However, for whatever reason GB just doesn’t run block well. I think of all the top RBs he has the highest potential this year, but just not long-term.

2.4) Knile Davis
Andy Reid knows how to find below the radar RBs, and then totally forget to run the ball. He will be apart of the passing game in KC, and with Charles injury history he might be a bigger piece at any point.

3.4) Justin Hunter
I wasn’t wanting to take anymore WRs in this draft, but he wasn’t someone I could pass up here. There are only like 2-3 real down-field threats in this draft and he is one of them.

4.4) Latavius Murray
Like I said he is on the IR so this is for 2014. He is a big, lighting quick, can catch the ball, and has great lateral movement (My sis-in-law goes to UCF, and I attended a game last year so I paid attention to them all season).

Omni PMed.

U-C-F!

When the draft is done I’ll post final lists, both in order of pick and sorted by owner.
