Nice work.
I have to say, my concept of player values in this league and what they might be traded for is apparently in a completely different ballpark than most of the rest of you.
I’m not sure I would have paid that much for Boldin even if I was “one player away”, but I suspect he’ll play another 2-3 years. He’s only 33 and he’s been slow for a long time, so hands, route running and FUCK YOU CORNERBACK I AM MIGHTY will keep him productive for a while.
This will be his 5th straight year of not making 1,000 yards and he’s not much more than a better than average TE now. I don’t expect Ellington to be anything great, but his upside and a late first round pick are great value for Boldin.
But Justin is most definitely in the running for a championship this year, and Boldin is, so far, a solid #2 WR, so maybe it’ll be a win/win.
He’s at 495 yards through 7 games, so he’s on pace for more than a thousand. He’ll probably need another game like Week 1 though.
That’s just it. I don’t think he has another 200 yard game in him. Take that one game out, and over the last 6 games, he has 290 yards (46 yards a game) and one touchdown total. We will see.
This is it, I know Boldin isn’t a monster and isn’t getting any younger, be he’s a dependable WR and that’s one of the things I need in the flex spots.
DeSean is also on the block, but I won’t take less than a near elite QB (think Matt Ryan) for him.
Varlos-
Yahoo says the trade will go through on Sunday morning, but just in case it doesn’t, can you push it through so I can start Boldin in Week 8?
Done.
It should be noted **Justin **has traded away both his 1st and 2nd Rounders from next year’s draft. And of course **RNATB **is going to have to dump his last draft pick to make room for Justin’s 1st.
Also: god damn it all, would people stop sending valuable pieces to my division rival? I’m trying to make the playoffs this year.
Kenny Stills and/or other players are still on the block for a dependable RB.
The future is now baby!
Trade Announcement
We Do HGH trades his 2014 first round pick to Warner’s Brothers for C.J. Spiller.
Dammit, I should have held out for more.
sets himself on fire
I now have 2 first round (Spiller trade)and 2 second round (Brees for Roddy White trade) draft picks in a 2014 draft that I think will be very good.
We’ll need Varlos to process this trade manually since I am not sending a player back to dale. I dropped James Starks to make room.
My opponent, Fighting Quakers, has two players on bye in his lineup as well as a very doubtful to play Rashard Mendenhall. I’d be willing to let him make a lineup adjustment, but obviously I don’t want to wait until all the Sunday games are over. Any thoughts on what to do in this type of a situation?
My opinion is always the same on these kind of things: Slot in whoever had the highest projected points. It’s easily quantified and not subjective.
Did he fix it last minute? Doesn’t look like these guys are in his lineup anymore, not sure if Varlos fixed it.
Wow, Marvin Jones coming out of nowhere with 4 TDs. That’s going to cost someone some big FAAB bucks.
