Not an unreasonable short-term roster shoring move, I guess.
I have no TEs and my window is closing fast. I also have Ladarius Green so it’s a nice cornering of the SD TE market for me.
Both play on Sunday, and the trade goes through Monday. If you want to request it gets expedited so you can start Gates this week, I have no objection.
I would like it expedited for sure, thanks.
Ok, looks good. I put it through.
By the way, I’m still probably in the market for a RB, so if anyone else wants to sell me a talented young player who’s stock immediately plummets, send me an offer.
I’m already ready to set my lineup next week.
My two division competitors are having a rough start, good to see. All my players are in late games. Ended up starting a kicker since Allen Robinson was put on IR in the week.
I’m not completely out of the division yet, but I definitely need a win against Varlos who is starting 5 Carolina Panthers, including only .55 points in the third quarter with Cam Newton. I’m not watching that game, but I’m wondering if the Panthers might make a QB switch.
I really hate setting lineups in this league. Huge days from bench guys every damn week.
Definitely. Our matchup might have turned out very different with a few lineup tweaks. I could have squeaked out a win, you could have blown me out of the water… this is league is nerve-wracking sometimes.
I think I’ll probably squeak out a win over Ellis but it’s gonna be close (unless Roethlisberger has another 6 TD game, which seems unlikely.)
Yeah, and agreed about the bench players. I’m super pissed I started Tavon Austin (3.62) over Jordan Matthews (19.20). Not entirely sure what I was thinking there, to be honest.
My division mates all won this week. The division is ridiculous this year.
If it weren’t for giving the 2-4 seeds to division leaders, we’d be #1, #2, #4, and #8. And even last place is one game out of .500.
It seems almost guaranteed that the wildcard will go to our division, since the next closest guys would be Varlos at 5-6 (or Justin at 6-5, if Varlos manages to take the division), and Omni at 6-5. I’ve got a full two games ahead of them and the very likely tiebreaker. Only RNATB has a real shot at pushing me out of the position, especially since we’re going to play later in the year which lets him get 2 games on me potentially.
My points lead on the whole league remains, but the gap has been closed. Isotopes and Stringer are legit contenders for the scoring title.
The divisional games at the end of the year are certainly going to make it an interesting finish.
By the way, have you heard the Good News about Josh Gordon?
Edit: I actually play RNATB this week. Huge game obviously.
What a frustrating year. I just loss thanks an early game injury to Julius Thomas and a record breaking game by LeVeon Bell. Second most points in the week, losing to the first most. My last four losses have been by 5, 6, 4, and 3 points. My stud RB is a child beater who hasn’t played a single fucking down. I’ve outscored everyone in the NE corridor and 6 of the 9 teams with better or the same records as I.
I fully expect Jamaal Charles to rob a bank, Phillip Rivers to slip on soap in the shower breaking his hip, and the Redskins to suck at offense. That last one wasn’t a joke, they will.
Fucking league.
Your stud RB was just officially suspended for the remainder of the season, though I doubt anyone will be surprised by that.
With Ahmad Bradshaw out for the season, I wonder if that makes a place for Trent Richardson in one of my flex spots. Probably not, since I’ve got Denard Robinson and Ryan Mathews. But I wonder if they’ll feed him the ball 25 times a game for 75 yards and some TDs here and there.
I’m kind of shocked that Mathews got that many carries. I figured the job was Oliver’s going forward.
Richardson sucks so bad though.
Ben Tate just got cut, which means the Colts will sign him, so don’t worry about Trent Richardson’s usage going up.
