SDMB FF Dynasty League: Year Three

McCoy and Mathews haven’t done anything, and Mathews is in a bad situation. Worried now. This might not be a high scoring game after all.

Hi Eagles. You’re up 3 scores. How about using your best weapon a little bit and running that clock?

Ah, fuck, McCoy taken out of the game on a cart.

Well, I need Rodgers to Nelson magic, the rest of my team was useless.

String has a 58 point lead with Colston and Kasay left to play. I have Rodgers, Nelson, Bell, and Graham. It’s going to have to be a huge day from all four to have a chance.

I’m feeling pretty good about my position but wow was I wrong about a high-scoring matchup, and which receivers to start.

Barring a Green Bay shutout with two scores from the defense, it looks like I’ve got the 3rd place game all wrapped up. It’s not a championship, but I’ll take it.

I love your team if your RBs can stay healthy and you can find a QB.

Fitzpatrick is actually an offensive magician for 8 games a year. It’s the other half of the season that’s the problem, when he puts up games of 3, 4, and if I’m really lucky, 7.

But yeah, here’s to a healthy return to Forte, Gore, and McGahee! And let’s hope Brandon Jacobs lands somewhere that’ll use his talents more than four times a game.

Kahlil Bell on the trading block!

Since Bell is killing it out there, and it’s first and goal from the one, if this results in anything but a Bell touchdown I’m going to burn this whole motherfucker down.

Well that makes me feel a little better about what just happened with the Bell TD.

We’ve got a game here…

PULLING RODGERS AFTER ONLY 5 TDs!!!

INJUSTICE!

Wow.

In case you didn’t see it, Kahlil Bell was running all over GB. The Bears get down to the 1 yard line for a first and goal from the 1. Obviously Bell gets a TD here, right? Well, he gets the ball, runs to the edge… fumbles at the half yard line… recovered in the endzone by a teammate. No TD for Bell. Boo. So he actually managed to lose points in that situation.

Almost exactly hit his projection though 15.90 actual, 15.88 projected. Obviously made the right call swapping him in for Blount.

The biggest surprise is that McCoy and Mathews sucked. If either of them had their usual days I’d be at 150+ already.

But it’ll be an interesting finish. I have a 21 point lead with Graham to play, and Stringer has Colston and Kasay. I will be watching the Saints’ offense closely tomorrow.

Ho-lee ker-app! I gotta be honest Beef, I thought you’ve blowing smoke about your team’s prowess all season long. You’ve got some monster players, no questions, but this is just insane.

Well I don’t know how I could really blow smoke, the numbers have been there all season. I basically score 137 +/- 10 points every week. If you can beat that, well, you got me. Stringer has the only roster that can do that on any sort of regular basis.

The odd thing this week is that McCoy is the highest scoring RB, averaging 20 points a week, and he put up almost nothing this week. Mathews also scored an average of 18.5 points for the month previous today. A bad day from my 2 top-6 RBs, yet my team still managed to hit the 137 +/- 10 mark.

My team will be fun to face for years to come.

Rodgers - the best for another 10 years.

Nelson - I keep thinking his numbers are flukey and he’s going to fall back to earth as the GB offense starts focusing elsewhere, because he’s not a super talent or anything, but he keeps bringing it. #5 WR overall.

Demaryius Thomas. My big weakness was my WR2, and it’s too early to tell, but he’s averaging like 17 points a week as the starter… and that’s with Tebow at the helm.

Gronk and Graham are both second year players who should be #1 and #2 at the position for a while to come.

McCoy and Mathews are #1 and #6. McCoy is a rock solid stud, and Mathews is really coming into his own.

The average age of my starters must be like 24 or 25. This is a dynasty.

As a guy who lost Ryan Grant all last season, has lost Adrian Peterson for part of, and likely a good chunk of next season, who watched Austin Collie go from the #1 WR in the league to a bench warmer, and who lost Hightower for this season, and who has had great points seasons with little to nothing to show for it in wins, I admire your hubris. It will, indeed, be fun to face you in the years that come.

This is a perfect example of what I’m talking about. Aaron Rodgers is 28 years old. Do you really think he’s going to continue to put up superstar numbers when he’s 35, 36, 37, and 38?

I will give you $50 if Aaron Rodgers throws for 4000 yards and 30 TDs in 2021.

What you’ve been talking about? What are you referring to? Was there some “SenorBeef overestimates the longevity of his players” thesis somewhere in this thread I was missing?

I expect Rodgers to be putting up superstar numbers at 35-36. 37-38 might be stretching it but barring something unforseen without a doubt Rodgers will score the most points of any player over the next 10 years.
