Sorry I’m running a tad behind lately. I try to assign the deadlines in a way to allow myself time to do the webpage along with the adjudication, but late orders tend to gum that up. [sub]hint hint[/sub]
So, without further ado, here’s a newly updated webpage including the last couple turns. Austria looks to be in a cherry position and England is none too shabby. We’ve had out first casualty in the game and I think it deserves much more chatter from the peanut gallery. Enjoy.
So now the game becomes A/I/R vs. E/F.
My assessment, by theater.
Southeast: Turkey goes bye-bye. Russia has done a nice job of recovering from Turkey’s invasion.
Southwest: Italy is well on the way to owning the Mediterranean. The coming attack on Spain could tie down French units that may be needed around Munich.
North: The Russian and English fleets are going to duel for a while. Someone will slip, or get a good idea, and break the standoff.
Central: Austria faces off against France and England along the major stalemate line. I expect the results of the SW and N theaters will determine the outcome at Munich.
Stab possibilities:
- England can hit France safely, with the French fleets far away.
- Austria can make life miserable for Russia.
- Italy’s going to reposition the SE units eventually, and could use them to invade Austrian holdings.
- And anybody could always “accidentially” misorder a unit.
Well, we’re post deadline and I’ve gotten a grand total of 2 sets of orders, get them in folks. As far as I know there hasn’t been any delay requests.

Well, MY orders are certainly in. I’m getting geeked up for this next year. It sure promises to be a doozy!
I’m still holding on a pair of retreats and then I’ll code up the new page and hopefully there’ll be some chatter. This ones coming to a critical stage, thats for sure.
