2 survival eliminations this weel: Isotopes and Shibb both picked Tampa against Jax. Jax tends to be involved one way or another with a whole lot of our eliminations, stemming back from last year.
We have 6.5 players left: Myself, Kid_A, Deep Fried Demons, meek’s freaks, borshevsky, and Kiros. I say 6.5 because Varlos is still unofficially playing. He missed making his pick a few weeks ago, but he’s been saying who he would’ve picked so he’s still sort of unofficially involved.
I’d say based on teams used, Kiros has the best chance.
This week is horrible for me, by the way. I was saving Indy for a rainy day, but this isn’t the week. No other games available to me are appealing.

I’ve been hurt somewhat by the whole drop a week thing because I’ve been fairly consistent. It ends up slightly (over the course of a 16 game season) favoring the a more flukey person with highs and lows. For instance, say one player scores 11 one week and 4 the next, and another scores 9 and 9. The second (consistent) player scored my points - 18, but when you drop a week, the 11/4 player wins.
Still, my performance has been pretty dissapointing - last year I almost won all 3 leagues (I ended finishing up second in each) but I forgot to pick the Thanksgiving games until it was too late and that put me behind.
16.1% of people who started yahoo survival this year are still alive, ignoring players that were eliminated from non-picks. That is… 16.1% of the people who made a pick every week or until their elimination are still around.
6 of 17 of us are alive also ignoring players eliminated by having no pick. We’re 7/18 if you include Varlos, who’s been unofficially making picks. 7/18 is 38%, and 6/17 is 35%, both more than double the average.

- Jaws doesn’t pick MNF games because he commentates on them, so he’s 76/109 (69.7%) vs our best’s 78/116 (67.2%).
Come on guys, we’re smarter than the guys at ESPN. I’ve been playing it too conservatively this year, picking the favorites too much.
There are a lot of close games this weekend and I know I’m going to have to put more thought into my picks. And survival is pretty brutal too… there’s only one game I feel good about, but I’m not sure if I want to use that team yet.

I was listing them by top overall score. You’re third in the adjusted score - but since you can see that ranking on the first page of the group I figured it’d be more interesting to rank by total points here. It’s unofficial, just an extra information thing.
Picking survival and confidence was really hard this week. I picked my top 3 confidence games, then I looked over the list about 5 times before I could come up with my 11 pointer. I don’t feel strongly at all about more than 3 games this week.
