But we’ve never done 2 strikes and you’re out before, so I expect we’ll have some survivors.
I wish I had more guts when it came to pick em. I really wanted to pick Cinci to beat Baltimore. I selected them first, and then I thought “well, gee, they’re an 8.5 point dog, and there’s gotta be a good reason for that right? I can’t go picking an 8.5 point dog” … I keep talking myself into taking too many favorites I don’t want to take.
Hey! Do you have to do that? We are in danger of losing the most games in a row ever. I don’t need salt.
At least we get to play the Lions.

Well, we had our worst survival day of the year courtesy of philadelphia (wtf?) and NYJ.
Yeah, I think I’m out of survival now. Had one strike and picked Philly over Oakland.
Brutal week in Pick Em, too, for everybody in the Confidence group. Think the high score for the week was 72, pending the game tonight.
Here I was, feeling good about being barely in first place in the pick’em, then this week happened. I figured I was way down the list. And then I looked at the standings, and somehow I’m still in first. And the thing is, I still feel that I’d take the picks I made every single week. Well, maybe not Denver, but I can’t pick against my team when they’re playing the Chargers.
I’m trying to remember why I didn’t pick the Patriots for survival. I think I was saving them for late in the season.

Well, I decided to take a chance with Detroit. I mean, when else this season are you going to get a chance to get the Lions off the board? Besides, right now all they need is a second safety to win.

Between Arizona and Detroit (!) we lost a few more people in survival this week.

Pretty good week so far. Just hope the Monday night game goes the way I expect.
A reminder to everyone that there is a game on Thursday between the 49ers and Bears, so get your picks for at least that one in ASAP. I believe those still alive in survival have to enter this week’s pick before the Thursday night game.
There was an option this year in the survival league to make the deadline Sunday at 1pm EST regardless of whether there were earlier games. Since we’ve lost people who forgot to pick before Thursday, I decided that we’d just set Sunday as the deadline.
Still, don’t forget to get your pick’em picks in for that game. You don’t have to do all the games at once, you can just do the one for now.
Could be a major survival hit if Washington wins.
