SDMB notification with chain letter for money???

I received what appeared at first to be a standard SDMB notification that there had been a post to a thread to which I had subscribed. It has the standard text including the putative poster’s username and a link to the thread. After “Here is the message that has just been posted,” there is a chain email-for-money scheme.

I have a concern that a poster is using the SDMB to get this info out there. If moderator wants more info, please email me. If moderator knows about this and it’s been taken care of, I’d appreciate it if you’d let me know here on the ATMB or by email.

Yes, that thread (and the numerous others like it, posted by the same person) has been removed.
