Beautiful color composition.

I suppose he could do it using Photoshop, or even GIMP which is free. If the ends are are clear enough, then the middle can be blurred slightly to keep it uniform.

Wow! Amazing photo.

I laughed.

Bravo! That’s really funny too (but you have to know the song).

Which one?

Are we still doing monthly themed contests? If so, is there a theme for this month?

It’s right here:

Lots of them! But that post referred specifically to Princhester’s kookaburra.

Two open star clusters, IC 4756 in Serpens (towards lower left), and NGC 6633 in Ophiuchus.

(NB: I noticed my previous Imgur upload gave an adult content warning; just ignore that. I haven’t learned how to mark them safe yet.)

Very nice!

Is that a streak or line in the upper left corner of the pic an indication of something moving?

What I’m getting at is, maybe that pic would have qualified for the ‘Transportation’ photo contest  :rocket:

Yes, it could be a satellite, or possibly even one of the brighter asteroids. If I can figure out exactly when I took the photos, I can ptobably find out.

It was a really tough choice between this photo and the one I posted in the contest thread, but I ultimately decided to go with one that put the bridge more front and center for the competition.

Thank you.

Those who know me on Facebook may have already seen this, but I teally like how this one turned out.

In this view of the Milky Way behind a distant hill, Delphinus the Dolphin is at lower left just outside the Milky Way itself; just outside it on the other side, sl8ghtly higher up, is Vega.

Milky Way

Very nice!

Thanks! You wouldn’t believe how poor the sky part looked pre-Photoshop; well acually since you’re familiar with the general process you probably would.

This thread asks us to show you a photo so this post isn’t to show you one of mine. Instead I’m posting this image of a real image and an AI generated image side-by-side. See if you can work out which is which.

The one on the left is AI.
