I don’t know what to make of this.
These people have a lovely home, several vehicles, and an RV. At their gate they have hung an American flag and a Trump flag. The American flag’s in decent condition, but the other one has become an absolute rag. It once said,
TRUMP
Take America Back, but it now says
TR
Take
I can’t understand what message these people are trying to send by having these torn ribbons dangle in front of their house, when they could easily afford a replacement. (I wish I’d have gotten a picture better showing the extent of the damage, but didn’t want to get any closer.)

Til’ death do us Trump? Sadly.

I guess. I’ve spent way too much time trying to fathom this.

The road to Teec Nos Pos:

Stunning. I love that big sky.

Maybe it’s a souvenir from J6?

Ewwww. That makes sense.

This is Messier M92, a globular cluster just outside the Milky Way. It’s very old, and 26,000 light years away. There’s the equivalent pf about 200,000 solar masses in the cluster. Shot from my backyard with an 8" telescope.

So I was looking through my archives for an entry for this month’s photo competition, and I found this. This is a natural hot spring inside a cave in Iceland. But really I just whish I had remembered this photo for the “light and shadow” theme.

My other contenders for the “night” theme:

I think I mostly just took the above photo because I was amused by the quotation marks around “cuisine”.

St. Ann St., New Orleans, looking towards Armstrong Arch.

I do love badly placed quotation marks.

“Congratulations” on your beautiful baby.

Congratulations on “your” beautiful baby.

Congratulations on your “beautiful” baby.

Congratulations on your beautiful “baby.”

Rockefeller Center probably needs no caption.

Neon signs are always fun!

Autumn in the front yard.

This was one I thought of submitting for “Night”:

It’s Leeroy St in Manhattan’s West Village

I was thinking of entering this to the June Monthly Photo competition, but it’s only night by implication - Stanley the cat and I warming our feet by the fire.

That’s cozy!
