The buyer was Phil Galfond, who we’re guessing is the same Phil Galfond that makes his living as a professional poker player and lives in New York City. If there’s one guy you’d expect to have a metal slide linking his two downtown Manhattan penthouses, it’s a 26-year-old poker pro, right? Our only question is, dude, why leave out a ball pit at the bottom?
We should maybe talk about moving “The Game” to PokerStars HomeGame for the next quarter. Mavens has its limitations, and I, for one, would be in favor of a move.
It’s not like we haven’t moved before - I think that The Game has been played at about a half-dozen sites.
The only problem I have with moving “The Game” to PokerStars is the blind structure at PokerStars vs Mavens. Stars simply does not increase fast enough IMO. It actually starts out ahead, but falls behind quickly.

as far as I can tell, the blind Structure cannot be altered, but the timing can. If we do go to Stars (and I agree it is far more robust than Mavens) we should go to 5 minutes increase on blinds and increase the chip amounts from 1500 chips to 2000 chips.
For me, that would actually be a plus. Our last tourneys with 6-8 people left, all with 5-10 BBs, late in the tourney have been a little ridiculous, IMO. (Much more ridiculous is that I can’t seem to adjust very well)
I understand that’s the nature of SNGs, and I understand we don’t want to be playing cards for 3 hours, but the Stars’ blind structure doesn’t seem that onerous to me.
So I’m OK with moving to Stars as it is, and have no problem with Mensa’s suggested changes.
I’m good with the move…I can adapt to any blind structure, as long as the changes take place at the end/beginning of any quarter.
I guess I can lose just as well at Stars as I can at Mavens.
[But seriously, I support the move. Mavens hangs on me all the time, and I don’t know why.]

probably no surprise here, but I’m more than happy to move to Stars. the delays and hangs with Mavens are related to my lack of upstream bandwidth, and I’m happy to be free of the guilt lol
