SDMB Secret Santa Gift Exchange 2015

I’m in

Nothing Cheesy please… by that I mean cheese flavored…

Something from your region that is cheesy ( the other kind) would be great

I like spicy snacky type foods, and T-Shirt size would be an XL

Again something regional, that is unique to your area would be ideal

PM sent, and looking forward to participating again!

I love it all, really. Spicy stuff, chocolate stuff, books, stationery, stickers, magnets, local and regional and unique, rings (size 8 or adjustable), pierced earrings (dangly, but not TOO dangly), cozy stuff. I especially love handmade items - if I need something for myself, I almost always check out etsy first.

Fragrances, bath and body items, etc., are always welcome. When I have a choice, I tend to go with light florals, citrus, or grassy fragrances.

I love most colors, really - muted grays and browns and blacks, jewel tones, and pastels. Maybe steer clear of primaries.

Whoever gets me, have fun! I’ll love it.

I’m in!

I’ll just quote myself from last year:

I love yarn and crafty stuff, fancy teas and coffees, would love some local treat that ships well. No known food allergies. Allergic to nickel, but cute buttons with slogans are good, geeky stuff is good, I love glitter. Christmas ornaments and soaps are always nice.

Books are great, I love nonfiction history, so anything about your local history would find a good home. I love true crime and mystery too (I collect books about murders and mysteries, so If you live near the site of an historical murder, that would be just perfect). Alternately, some good comedy is always nice.

Really, I just want something to open

My favorite thing of the year!!!

I am a big reader and like anything murder mystery/serial killer-y. Inspiration would be Lars Kepler, Jo Nesbo and Boris Starling.

T-shirt size is a medium, I like sports of all kind (especially football), I have lots of stuffed toys, way more than a 30 year old male should have, so if there’s a local mascot or something like that feel free to use that.

My only actual request is please send me a local pen! I have a big pen collection from places that I go and that includes gifts from my internet friends. So whoever gets me can get me whatever they want as a surprise, but please please get me a pen of anything local.

Can’t wait!

We are at 21 with one more day to sign up.

I forgot to put in my likes. I like handmade things (including food!) and cheerful colors. I drink both coffee and tea. I like cats, matryoshka dolls, trinkets, contraptions, and classical music. I like neat stuff from all over the place.

Count me in again. I really enjoy it.

I like: to read most anything, drink tea, eat gourmet treats, and drive sports cars. (Don’t send a car, I can’t afford the insurance. ) More than anything else, I’d love a little something from your region, whether food or a memento.

Ruh-roh! Odd number! C’mon, Dopers, just one more, for Silvorange’s peace of mind!

OK, my Secret Santa – You’re on! Surprise me!

I am a 66-y-o female with too much time on her hands. I likes gizmos, TOYS, stuffed critters, kittehz, strange music, watercolor, pens, magnets, local stuff from wherever you may be. Oh, yes – mechanical pencils, too!

Have at it. My current adolescent kitty will LOVE the box.

gobbless, as we say here. (dyslexcik) And I used to know how to spel. :smack:

Sorry, Slow Moving Vehicle, I guess we’re now at an odd number again!

I turn (gasp) 50 in two days. I am an American woman living in Tokyo. My cats would enjoy some oddball cat toys, or some kitty snacks. I love Nestle semisweet mini chocolate chips for eating right out of the ba–errr, baking–and I can’t get them here. Also, PEEPS.

Merry Merry!

Just PM’d Silvorange. I like anything except dark chocolate and sci-fi. Milk and/or white chocolate however, is just dandy. I love cookies more than candy. Other than that I’m happy with what I get. Hopefully it will be a pony…

You don’t really need an even number, do you? You’re not pairing people, right? Just think of it as a big circle and everyone sends to the person on his/her right.

24! We don’t need an even number. I’m surprised a few regulars haven’t signed up yet. I usually get all the assignments done after midnight, but I probably won’t do them until I get the kiddo off to school tomorrow, so there will be some wiggle room for stragglers. Have I mentioned how excited I am to have a kiddo to get off to school? This is my first Christmas as a mom (even though it isn’t official). It is so awesome.

peedin

So, as a service to whoever draws peedin, here’s a helpful video that shows you how to gift-wrap a pony.

Now that’s a LOT of wrapping paper!

And a reaaaally patient horse.

Assignments are done! Time to get shopping/making!

I’ll add a few more things for whoever gets my name.

A Christmas ornament would be nifty. I’m not into tea or flavored coffees. I like bookmarks, notepads, and nuts (like cashews or almonds or pecans or peanuts). My favorite colors are navy blue and dark pink. I’m redoing my spare room in a hunt motif (think Stubbs hunting prints). I love stuffed animals and do not have an elephant cuz it wouldn’t fit in the room unless it were a small ellefunt (like a Beanie Baby or a skoosh bigger). I love the comic strip Peanuts.

What I really want is peace on Earth, goodwill to all, but that would cost a lot of money. I’m happy with anything as long as it is given in the true spirit of Christmas.

Got my person and it’s time to get crafting! Hope my person likes homemade stuff.

Got mine. Yay!

[QUOTE=Slow Moving Vehicle]
Last year, Septima sent me a heart Christmas tree ornament, from the Faeroe Islands, made of salmonskin. One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

That was a fun gift to put together
