Well that’s how long I could hold out. stuffs more rose-wine-marshmallows into piehole
I needed to help out a friend who happens to like Fireball so in addition to packing/moving supplies I brought along that box … it made for a happy little surprise for her, and we thoroughly enjoyed splitting it.
The wine ones, though, are all for MEEEEEEEE and thank you once again Sir T-cups for the excellent gift box.
You’re berry welcome! Glad to hear it! I greatly assume the company ships, so if you need your fix just order from them.
Or just let me know and I can happily fill an order for you, they’re seriously only about 10 min from my office and I’ll never complain about a jaunt to Sanford
My package is still on its way but the shipping status hasn’t updated for two weeks now. I just handed in a search request with USPS and hope they find it.
Your gift finally arrived! No idea that detours it made on its long way across the atlantic ocean. When I got home yesterday after work there was a parcel in my mailbox, containing a nice selection of paperbacks. Thank you very much, RivkahChaya.
Yeeessss - my Secret Santa arrived today!
It’s from Philadelphia but unfortunately the sender didn’t write down their user name, so I don’t know who it’s from.
Whoever you are - you are AWESOME!
The T-Shirt from the Academy of Natural Sciences with the flowery stegosaurus skeleton is great and fits perfectly! And I love the giant microbe plushie! Funny you have chosen the common cold, because I’m sick at home with a cold at the moment. I’m going to snuggle down on the couch with the little guy now.
Thank you very very much!
PS My own package is ostensibly still on its way. I have submitted a request to search for the package with USPS but so far I have only received an automated e-mail back… .
Do we still have any non-delivered packages? The post office has lost harmonicamoon’s gift to me. It made it to three miles from my house before they lost it! Have all the rest gotten through?
I have to assume my Secret Santa sent something so awesome that the customs officials decided they couldn’t let it go, and are still playing with it, giggling madly.
Assuming your secret cover has been blown, and that’s aimed at me; it’s fine, please don’t send another expensive parcel over here for the customs/postie to lose!
My Secret Santa gift to Silvorange got very close to her home. All the way from Mexico (through customs, etc. which was very close to being a miracle in itself ) but was lost a few miles from her home. How can they lose a package that has an address on it?
Well I am in the USA, for a brief time, and sent another package to Silvorange. I hope this one makes it.
I got this one! I was so excited to get a Christmas in July present! Such a neat collection of items. Some tamarindo fruit, which was very tasty until my dog snatched the very last bite, and guava paste, which I am saving for later. I do not have the letter handy to remind me what the little bowl is made of, but it is lightweight and comes from a tree, like a husk or shell? And a handful of various coins from Mexico, Guatemala, and Cuba wrapped in a couple of paper bills in a super-adorable crocheted chicken coin purse made by his neighbor. I take care of the chickens at work, so that is appropriate! I like to collect random coins from around the world with my daughter so we can learn about where they come from.
Thank you so much, harmonicamoon, and much love to everyone who participates in Secret Santa. I can’t wait for the next one!
Okay. Need to see a picture of the hand-crocheted chicken coin purse. Seriously. Is it a baby chick or a full grown chicken? What color is it? Does it have a beak? Zipper or button? Does it have feet? Need a picture!
Also, where do you work, Silvorange, that requires you to care for chickens?? A government office of some kind, amirite? Was that in your original job description or did that come under “other duties as required”? :dubious:
I’m a nurse at a day center for adults with developmental disabilities. I volunteered to keep up the coop when the previous “chicken tender” moved away. We have three hens and the eggs are used in our Cooking Group.
That coin purse is so cute! I love it! Hmmm… Maybe his neighbor would make more coin purses if the price were right? (I’m really into all kinds of bags and purses. To the point of obsession almost. My friends worry about me.)
More questions: do the hens have names? Or do you refrain from naming them because of…well…
They had already been around for a while with no names before I got acquainted with them, so I haven’t bothered. Besides, there are hawks in the neighborhood and I don’'t want to get attached!
