Sean Connery in a Wedding Dress

Mindless, Pointless, must be shared.

This is apparently from a [del]steaming pile of crap[/del] film called “Zardoz.” Now I have to see this.

You really DO need to see Zardoz to believe it.
It’s trippy.

As cheesy 70s sci-fi films go, I thought Zardoz was pretty good.

I have been looking for the soundtrack to *Zardoz * since I saw the movie, in the theater, 35 years ago. The music is an amazing choral version of Beethoven’s Seventh.

I don’t remember Sean Connery in a wedding dress, but hey, it was the '70s, there are plenty of movies I don’t recall the details of.

I love Zardoz. “Steaming pile of crap” is probably a fairly accurate description of the film, but it’s a ‘classic’ nonetheless.

TruCelt - Zardoz has its own page at TVTropes. You must see the image on this site if you want to see the real Sean Connery:

Which movement?

All of it, at different parts, IIRC.

[mod]I’m going to move this over to Cafe Society, since it turns out to be about the movie.[/mod]

Some reason he isn’t quite compatible with the typical cross-dresser "ick"look; his masculine self looks to sure of himself. His muscle is impressive… perhaps that’s the reason.

Mmm, Charlotte Rampling.

Be sure to read up on Vartox, DC Comics’ homage.

The wedding dress is a step up for Connery in that film. For a good chunk of it, he runs around in a red leather diaper.

I actually own it on DVD. It was not expensive :p.

I consider it perhaps the greatest crappy film of all time. Not even Ed Woods could touch this gem.

eeewwwww!

I can’t believe I don’t have Zardoz. I checked my spreadsheet, and it’s not on it. It’s possible I have it on VHS somewhere.

I like Zardoz. The only part I didn’t like was the ‘Oooooooooooh!’ scene when they were eating/communing.

Favourite exchange:

‘We’ve been used!
‘And re-used!’
‘And abused!’
‘And amused.’
