Season Long NFC North Discussion Thread

You are probably right. Last week, Dallas easily whooped a division rival at home. And what did the Vikings do last week? Nothing. Nothing at all.

This kind of Norris Division unity just warms my heart.

We are just taking unity clues from your Sunday support of the Packers.

Indeed.

I suppose I should acknowledge that I hate the Cowboys even more than I hate the Vikings. So, by extension, I suppose I’ll be less annoyed if the Vikings win than if the Cowboys do.

Happy, Dio?

Just think of the feel good story, the warm glow that would permeate all NFL fans if the legend, Number 4, were able to lead his team to one more Superbowl. Just think of all the praise and love and he’d be getting from the game announcers, and NFL commentators everywhere. You’d hear nothing but Brett Favre’s name on every channel you turned it to.

There’s something to consider when you make your decision who to root for.

Crap. GO COWBOYS!

You know what I prefer? The continuing tradition of the Vikings choking in the postseason. I mean the Broncos won a couple and the Bills haven’t sniffed the postseason in forever, it’s the Vikings turn to remind us of what their legacy is. The young 'uns may not recall who the original losers are.

'Tis better to try and fail than not be good enough to be allowed to try.

Easily said by a team that has always failed, but hardly applicable to a team that did manage to win one of two.

The Vikings have not been eliminated yet, in case you didn’t notice.

The Patriots lost a bunch of Superbowls too, before the Brady/Belichick era. Monkeys can be killed.

Agreed - even the Buccaneers won one. The Buccaneers!!! I’ll let that one sink in for a while…

I was just thinking this morning that it would not be shocking if three of the final four teams had never won a Superbowl. That is, if the Vikings and Chargers win. Doesn’t matter who wins Cards @ Saints since neither team has ever won it all.

Two hardly qualifies as a bunch.

The Vikings, by contrast, are tied with the Bills and Broncos for most losses ever with four.

True, but at least the Bills had the good grace to lose four in a row, which takes some heat off my Vikings. Some. Not much. But it’s worse in my mind, at least.

Bertrand Berry was fined $5,000 by the NFL for his helmet to helmet hit on Rodgers in overtime. The one that didn’t draw a flag.

Careful. Next thing you know, they will be fining people after the game for holding James Harrison.

The Cardinals defense is terrible.

Gaines Adams, a DE that the Bears traded a second round pick to the Bucs this year for, has passed away. I haven’t found any details about the death. Best wishes to his family.

Sounds like a heart attack… and that makes me wonder if he was taking the kind of high-risk “supplement” that killed Korey Stringer. Damn.

Let’s goooooooo Vikings!!!

Woohoo!! That’s why we sent the private jet to get #4.
