Is Sally’s fiancée open about her status to others, or just to Sally at this point? I have only known one couple in this situation, but the dynamic of their relationship changed dramatically when “Mary’s” partner “Grace” came out in public. It was good that Grace got a lot of acceptance, but all the positive attention left Mary feeling a little like she’d been left in the shadows. Mary was completely supportive of Grace, and was too kind to complain about any negative feelings she had. Mary did need some support during that time, and if you can be there for Sally I am sure she would appreciate it.
