Sequel/Prequel Titles For "The Passion of the Christ"

Okay, in nearly every thread that’s come up on Mel’s movie, folks have gleefully been suggesting titles for sequels/prequels, so I thought it’s time we devoted an entire thread to the subject. Here’s my entries:
Jesus II: Return of the Living Dead Messiah
Tag Line: Brains!

Jesus and His Disciples: The Early Years
Tag Line: The Next Time We Say We’re Going to Judea, Let’s Go to Judea!

The Rapture: God Strikes Back!
Tag Line: Vengence is His!

Jesus and Garfield: The Passion of the Mice

When Garfield makes another fondukle of a mess up and his owner sends him to a long lost relative, see which little coo’ cat will be spending the weekend in ancient Bethleham!

Passion II: Second Coming
Tagline: I’m through hanging around… it’s time for action!

Passion III: Judgment Day
Tagline: It’s gonna be one hell of a day for a whole lot of folks

C’mon, iPassion II: Electric Boogaloo*!

Jesus II: The Return of the Christ?

The Birth of the Jesus (starring John Turturro, of course)

Not exactly a sequel, but I’d like to see Passion: The Animated Series. Part of the Fox Kids Saturday morning lineup, right after Digimon.

The Return of the Passion: Beyond Thunderdome

They did one or two of these on that VH1 show Best Week Ever

The Passion of the Christ 2: He Won’t Be Crossed Again

Passion XXVI: Jesus Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter

Passion XXXVVIII: Jesus and Jason: The Final Battle

Passion LXVI (the anime): Crossbarman Bebop

Passion LVXXXI: Emmanuelle Goes Around the World With Jesus

Passion: Endgame - In which Jesus battles other immortals for the ultimate prize.

Passion II: Nail THIS!
Passion II: The Search for More Money
Jesus 3D!

Passion II: The Empire Strikes Back

Over on Aint It Cool News, they had one Talkback thread wherein dozens of folks contributed taglines for the Passion … I should probably post some of those over here.

My own contribution on-topic :

Passion II : Messiah-Man.

Mild-mannered Peter Parker, bitten by a radioactive Messiah, inherits the proportionate speed and strength of the Son of God. Local newspaper magnate P. Pontius Pilate seeks to crucify the young hero, even as he does battle with the nefarious Red Goblin.

"Messiah-Man, Messiah-Man,/
does the things that a Savior can./
Saves a flock, any size… /
If he gets killed, he will arise…/

Look out, here comes Messiah Man!"

“Messiah-sense… tingling!”

Jesus II : Return of the King

Jesus 0: The Fellowship of the disciples.

Admittedly not quite on topic, but…

…here in London, at any rate, The Passion (with its tagged-on morning-after scene of resurrection) went on general release at about the same time as Dawn Of The Dead. I think this ironic coincidence was rather hilarious, but judging from the lack of waggish or witty comments it seems not many people noticed it.

How about a prequel?

The Foreplay of the Christ
And a sequel…

The Climax of the Christ
hides from the brickbats

The Adventures of Jeezaroo Bonzchrist Across the 8th Dimension!

Threads like this remind me why I hang out here as much as I do.

Terrible taste, and funny as hell.
