Never mind- turns out that Fandango was confused. I managed to get some tickets.
Now, do I wear my BlueSun t-shirt and brown leather jacket? Decisions, decisions…

Which means I missed getting tickets by mere minutes!! Gorram, gorram, gorram, gorraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmm!!!
Language! This isn’t the Pit!
We’ll be there, too.
As I understand it, the studio, Universal, has been absolutely flabbergasted by this phenomenon. I also heard that all of these advance screenings are going to be added to Serenity’s opening-weekend box-office total.
Of course, if you do the math, that’s a million bucks, million-and-a-half tops, which doesn’t count for much in this era of fifty-million-dollar opening weekends, but it’s something, anyway.
Excellent. Let’s make FOX sorry they ever cancelled the show.
Sigh. When I checked, Cincinnati tickets weren’t available. When I checked again, they were sold out. Guess I’m waiting until September.
Phoenix is up now!
Or was. I caught the blue link, but as soon as I hit the Confirm Transaction button, it sent me back to the main screen like nothing had happened, and my transaction doesn’t show up. Movietickets SHOULD say if it’s sold out, right?
Just called the theater. Yep. Another one that sold out in 10 minutes. Didn’t get my tickets, despite refreshing the site constantly this morning.
Wish I’d seen that Movietickets required an account, since it forced me to create one before I could buy. Damn, damn, damn.
Rats! I’m sorry you missed it, BayleDomon. I wasn’t buying but I would have shared if I had been. I’d been watching for my brother in St. Louis, who managed to grab 4 this morning.
I’ve got to say thanks to TheOnlySaneOne without who I would have probably found out about this a couple of days too late again. Thanks for sharing this info letting so many of us get tickets…
Just doing my duty as an informed citizen.
When I heard about it, I looked it up and saw that there was no way that I was going to make it to one of the showing cities for a screening. So, I opted to tell my friends first, then let you guys in on the deal.
Glad so many of you guys got in, sorry for those of you that didn’t. Only, what? Three more months left at the most 'til we get to see it.
…
Stupid constant time.
According to the theater showing in St. Louis (which is actually my local theater, too), Serenity tickets there aren’t for sale; they’re all going to be given away through local radio, TV, book store, and comic/game store promos & contests.
Unfortunately, the teen-aged mouth-breathing idiot whom I talked to was unable to tell me which radio and TV stations, nor which book and comic/game stores, were doing the promos & contests, and his manager (who did know) was unavailable 'til Monday.
Unfortunately ExTank, the mouth-breather lied through his teeth since my brother and a bunch of his friends bought tickets this morning for the Creve Coeur 12 showing on the 23rd.
Don’t tell me that, man.
I don’t wanna get arrested for bitch slapping some punk.
