Loved The Split, sad to see it go. If Nicola Walker is in it, we’ll watch it.

Just finished watching The Chelsea Detective. While I like the main characters and such the actual crimes and criminals are fairly uninteresting. If there’s a 2nd season I’ll probably give it a pass.

Started watching Farzar. Wants to be Rick & Morty, but is more like if the South Park guys made Rick & Morty - a lot of dick and anus jokes, a lot of gratuitous violence and gore, a lot of weird alien creatures, but not particularly clever or funny. It has its moments, but not that many.

Just finished The Old Man (which I keep wanting to call “this old man”, but no nick-nack is played). It is a spy drama starring The Dude, Dick, Maeby, Amy, and sometimes Doc. Not really my favorite genre, but it isn’t bad. The first season of seven episodes ends in a cliffhanger, but season two has been approved.

Been enjoying The Old Man for the most part, although Bridges is really quite long in the tooth to be playing a bad-ass.

Season 3 of Blown Away is available on Netflix. This is a show about glass blowing, so it’s kind of a niche, but it’s interesting and the competition is fun. We saw the winner of S1 in her residency at the Corning Glass company a few years back. Having taken a few classes in making things from glass, I can appreciate how difficult it is to work with, especially since the techniques and most of the tools haven’t changed in hundreds of years. Glass blowing is a giant leap above making plates and the like, however.

If you’re a Zahn McClarnon fan, he has a bit part in the MCU/Disney series Hawkeye, and was a regular on “Longmire” during its 6-season run.

So, “The Old Man” Jeff Bridges. Just ends nowhere?? WTF? Not even a cliffhanger, just OK folks, stay turned for a month or 12.

No kidding. An hour of blahblahblahblah and then. . .done.

Wait…was last week the finale? We were looking for a new episode… didn’t feel like a finale and was looking forward to Bridges/Lithgow being together more.

Yes. The whole season was released at once.

Time to put Hulu on a six month hold again, I guess.

It wasn’t dropped all at once for us but maybe we didn’t have the right level of Hulu…oh well…

As far as I know, the FX series The Old Man wasn’t released all at once (Netflix-style) but instead new episodes aired once a week, from June 16 through July 21. Now that all of the episodes were released, presumably it can be binged on FX on Hulu.

Over the past couple of weeks, I re-watched Silicon Valley on HBOMAX. Now I’m rewatching Ghosts.

Huh. I guess I just happened to first discover it after it had finished.

Have now binged Season 1 of Hacks. My previous comments about Jean Smart still stand - she is a delight to watch. It’s like she appeared in Designing Women and then was completely off my radar for 25 years until she popped up again in Legion and suddenly she’s all over the place absolutely killing it.

I will get to S2 in a bit.

Jean Smart is also in Watchmen, which should be available on HBOMax.

Seen it, loved it.

The new season of, “What We Do in the Shadows” is back, and it’s just as hilarious as the first two seasons.

Frankly I’ve found the new season of What we do in the shadows not particularly funny… Just more of the same without the jokes.
