Sex question for men over 60

67 here. I have noticed in recent years climaxes are a little uncomfortable. I usually have sex about 3 times a week but this past couple of weeks I think about 10 days had gone by. I noticed my climax was not uncomfortable and felt more like it did a few years back. I am thinking it might be a good time to start cutting back a little.

In all honesty I don’t really get all that horny until a week passes by so it wouldn’t really bother me anyway. But I do enjoy it more frequently.

My question is if I am going a little over my physical limitations could I be damaging anything? I also seemed to be just a little more energetic last week but that might just be a coincidence.

70 here. My orgasms are just as strong as when I was 20, and just about as productive, but I need them only about four times a week. And I haven’t had an erection in a few years, possibly due to spinal stenosis (I’ll let you know after my spinal surgery). I really don’t know what kind of discomfort you’re experiencing, and don’t understand why you’d want to cut back. Where is the discomfort, and what do you think you may be damaging?

58 here and I’m not experiencing any post coital discomfort. What specifically do you mean by “a little uncomfortable”? Pain? Muscle soreness in your groin? Burning sensation in your urethra? What exactly do you mean?

The best way to describe the discomfort is like whatever is pushing it out has to push too hard to keep it moving. I have the urge to shake my fists and kick my feet for about 10 seconds afterward as the sensation subsides. I have also noticed I am not as productive and it requires more time to completely reload. Hard to explain It will still fire a couple of times in a long session but not much comming out the second time. After the 10 day recent layoff I noticed that my orgasm wasn’t quite as intense but felt a lot more normal. I suspect my testosterone is dropping.

More than likely. However, if you’re still getting it few times a week at 67 I don’t think that’s all that bad. For a lot of guys it drops off a cliff.

Have you had a prostate exam recently?

If the ejaculation is restricted, part of the semen may squirt back into the bladder. There’s no harm in that; it just comes out in the next urination. It’s called a retrograde ejaculation.

Keep in mind, none of us is your doctor. Get a referral from your doc to a urologist if you feel the need to do something about it.

A restriction is possible because I do have something damaged where it now makes a hard left turn. Dr. said it is not worth fixing because it might make it worse.
