How about we offer actual emotional and mental health care? That might include some sex therapy or sex surrogates (more likely human interaction therapy, but I can see the need for both), but the point of real health care is not to satisfy someone’s sexual cravings, but help them deal with the fact that you can’t always get what you want. That’s really the problem here. It’s not that someone is failing to get basic survival needs, like food, clothing, shelter, and basic human interaction.

It’s that they’re failing to get something specific—a satisfying and fulfilling sex life—and that is something that many, many people don’t get to have. The real issue here is not finding some public way to fund that need, but rather a public way to teach individuals how to deal with the pain of life, some of which includes “you just don’t get what you want.”

I’m sure you feel very deprived and unhappy without a 90" TV. Society really owes it to you to give you one. You deserve it. You need to understand, if you are in fact earnest in these things you write, that you are not entitled to anything like what you’re asking for. You are meant to find it on your own, w/ your own skills, or else you just do not get to have them.

Again, no one cares if you buy a sex robot, hire an adult prostitute or look at legal porn. But you haven’t presented any case why the government should pay for it. There are people living and dying on the streets, people who can’t afford desperately needed medical treatments; why should the government prioritize your orgasm over their lives?

Moreover, if sexual access through sexbot technology is a complement to household production, then we could observe an increase in the quality of marriages and, as a result, a reduction in rates of divorce.

Jealousy and polyamory have existed together for the majority of human development. You don’t need to eliminate jealousy, only teach people to cope with and manage their jealousy and not let it become the foundation of a relationship.

It’s exactly what we are telling the OP do do with feelings of being denied something he wants. Sometimes you have to cope with it. In the same way, society shouldn’t give excessive power to individuals’ feelings of jealousy. Just learn to cope with it.

To be clear I don’t necessarily think that the idea of a sex robot is necessarily bad.

I do have serious reservations about creating a robot sex slave at public expense for the sole purpose of quenching the sexual urges of people who are so extremely socially dysfunctional as to end up in a hateful, violent, misogynistic cult.

Such people might need treatment or therapy of some kind and it might be in the public interest to fund such treatment.

However I am very wary of the idea that the public should pay for simply their sexual satisfaction because they want something they aren’t getting.

And I also am very wary of letting people with hateful, misogynistic tendencies have a realistically human-like plaything that they can just have their way with.

It’s basically letting them practice mistreating people and there’s no reason to believe that this won’t carry over to their attitudes and actions with respect to real humans.

If there’s some scientific reason to believe that having some people interact with a cybernetic sexual surrogate would help treat mental or emotional disorders then maybe that should be considered, but under the strict supervision of a licensed professional, and certainly not just for the purpose of quenching their unmet sexual desires.
